New Orleans native Charlie Andrews demonstrates step by step on how to make Fried Lemon and Apple pies. This recipe was inspired by New Orleans Hubig's pies. It consists of an homemade Apple or Lemon filling, added into pie crust. It's sealed and fried in hot oil. The pies are then glazed with a butter vanilla almond glaze and let cool until the icing sets. This recipe makes 6 to 8 pies. It is absolutely delicious.
