How lucky are we all now days that we can jam to all of these awesome backing tracks whenever we we want. When I was first starting I had to jam with Foreigner and Survivor over the only scratchy FM classic rock station that would come in!

While higher gain stuff is only moderately in my wheel house, I always watch Pete's demos first for his awesome and creative playing, 2). He knows what he's talking about and is informative about the gear and now thirdly-(and hopefully continuing)-funny-ass video clips to illustrate his point! Seriously Pete that caught me totally by surprise and was funny as hell!

That Tele sound is just monster man... it's so nice and round without being muddy at all... Nice to see that it's not ridiculously overpriced either like so many pedals seem to be now... I love that deep rich but stringy tone. I've only managed on setting in GR 5 with my neck PU on split to get anything close to that. I hope with my upcoming set up I'll be able to get that. This will be my reference (although that sound is on one of your albums too.) Oh and "je ne sais quoi" in a guitar pedal review for the win!!

Pete Thorn should be synonymous with the likes of Satriani, Andy Timmons, Eric Johnson, and all the other legends. Every episode I watch I'm my jaw hits the floor with the melodies he comes up with! How the hell does he come up with these killer riffs and melodies so quickly?! It would take me at least 3 years to come up with the stuff he comes up with. HAHA

Just got one. It is the best overdrive I have to put a Marshall type amp over the edge. I have three other “transparent” overdrives, and this actually bonds better that them with Plexi, JMP, and JCM 800 style amps. Set the amp at the edge of breakup, and the pedal pushes it into the sweet spot. It works great with Vox style amps too.

This is the perfect pedal for those looking to use a Timmy to boost a Marshall, but with a better voicing for it. Those lower gain/breakup tones at the end sound VERY Zeppelin like, absolutely killer and we need more of GEEK PETE LOL!!!!!
