@@pixelsheep3443 it's called emergence or emergent properties. for example, wetness. no water molecule is wet, wetness only emerges once you have enough water in a space, it's a property none of the component parts of water has that is nonetheless present in water. so yes, your emotions are "just" chemicals, but that doesn't actually mean anything, because a computer is "just" circuits, and emergence tells us that it doesn't matter what you're made of, your properties have very little to do with your component parts. your emotions are chemicals, but those chemicals in that arrangement makes a conscious being.

Cut to Neil Armstrong (Owen Wilson), looking directly into the camera. Neil: "I really would like to go to moon." Tracking shot of a miniature spaceship flying straight to the moon. 7:10 In regards to Ghosts, I'm kind of in this weird position where I believe ghosts and hauntings can happen, like I will be fully willing to believe that the spirits of the dead linger in this world, but I feel like I am far too cynical in the subject to believe that the various ghost hunting shows have actual, definite proof of them. Like someone will say a place is haunted, and I'd be like, "you sure? You tried checking the wiring or changing the bulb in there? have you eliminated any possibility that it couldn't be a ghost for you to come to the conclusion of it being a ghost?" Surprisingly, Achievement Haunter has been the most convincing ghost show to watch, simply because they start out silly so when spooky things happen it's actually impacting.

One interpretation of the Flat Earth that's particularly awesome is that Earth is basically a non-Euclidean plane where the edges loop endlessly (you could think of the earth as a treadmill under your feet). Kind of like Pac-Man. It solves the need of the ICE WALL at the edges. I haven't seen any flat earthers who have been able to explain the formation of an ancient flat earth without God. Gravity would cause the flat earth to crush itself pulling towards center mass, but how does a planet form without some force pulling bits of space debris together? And what force pulls things together specifically in flat orientations?

I personally believe in aliens and ghosts and monsters and such because, to me, a world without those things would be sad and boring. Especially with aliens. We have this massive, ever-expanding universe and *we're* all that's in it? Come on. There *have* to be other people out there. Good or bad, I don't know, but they're there. They gotta be. It's just a waste of space if they're not.
@HakunonMatata5 жыл бұрын
The truth is that no one truly knows. No one has any idea if there are aliens or ghosts out there and no one knows if there is not. When people say there are, they have no idea if it's true. When people say there isn't, they have no idea if it's true. I say just believe whatever you want to believe, as long as it isn't hurting anyone nor are your forcing/pushing your beliefs on others. But the fact remains that no one truly has an answer other than their own answer. And we may never get it. Unless it's just straight up proven wrong like flat earth and etc.

So when someone looks at it from a black and white perspective and says "nah there's literally nothing", it's burying your head in the sand within your own bubble ironically enough. But at the same time, when people say that they have evidence there's stuff there other than the fact that the universe is too big to have nothing, it's pure speculation once again. Both truthers and nihilism think they have the unarguable evidence and the correct answer but the truth is that neither side truly knows.

ok, if by "ghost" you mean "a soul that failed to move on", those aren't real. if by "monster", you mean "a supernatural creature", those don't exist. but that doesn't mean there isn't some freaky shit out there, like glowing predators that can weaponize seizures, sounds that can make you hallucinate and think you see a ghost, tricks performed with quick wrist movements and misdirection that look a hell of a lot like actual magic, and aliens. can't promise intelligent aliens, they're probably pretty rare, and you're probably only going to get one natural intelligent species per planet, assuming any appear at all, but aliens are totally real, it's statistically unlikely for them to be fake.

I super don’t believe in ghosts but in the event I see proof of their existence i have told everyone I know that, in the event I say without any shadow of a doubt that I have seen a ghost, then they should start to worry.

Almost every flat-Earther I have listed to has an element of discovering the Earth is flat being part of like a profound new age or some such. Like it is almost time to emerge from the shadows as some shadow organization decides they are ready (a real but not exclusively the only version of the theory).

But that alien thing is somewhat right though. The government had to insult 4 states on west america within a particular time at night with time lines that don't add up to the aliens hovering above that literal thousands of people saw.

I love conspiracy theories. I love how crazy they are and how you could make a fun as fuck movie, comic or game out of them. Like, I'd be down for a game based on the supposed alien base in the Dulce Facility or a movie based on the whole Hollow Moon theory and other crazy alien shit, especially if it has lizard people. I could do without all the anti-Semitism in most of those conspiracy theories, though. Like, seriously, why do all these conspiracies always go back to ''THE JEWS DID IT!''?

This episode brought to you by "Woolie reminding himself that God/Religion isn't real and Love isn't too." Cringe Nihilism.

Flat earthers are all fun and games until you find the ones that add very blatant antisemitism to their conspiracies... Not even kidding.
