Shows how much of a weakest era novak is playing in and piling up slams... Absolute shame😭😭🤣🤣.. Even without the big 3, I don't see the so called next gen's being so consistent... Roddick, Hewitt, would have smoked these so called next gen's... Novak might be the LUCKIEST SPORTSMAN ever for whatever records he has...

Agreed. That's why I like Basilashvili. If it was the other way around, Toiletpass wouldn't even blink. Would probably check his dad for another coaching tip or go straight to his beloved place.

Yeah Fritz had some big wins before so not really came out of nowhere. His serves and forehands are true class, also check to see how many doubles he played too, those help as u can see he’s fearless at net!

@@DanielBoonelight ye but it's not that you can't predict the winner because there are a lot of players of similar skill level, it's because the 3 best players (Tsitsipas, Zverev, Medvedev) occasionally play low level tennis and lose for unknown reasons.

a good reminder why i never watch zverev. no game plan no game style just hitting the ball back from far behind (with few errors usually), boring. fritz dictated the rallies (zverev on the defense), tried k*ll shots. pure aggression. paid off because zverev choked. btw i am geman and i like zverev and am glad when he wins. but i rather watch pacman frog live feeding🐸 youtube clips than him playing boring defense.😝

Fritz is my favourite next gen player... He works so hard and keep improving his game... His hard work paying off as well... Literally he comes back strongly in next match... And Basilashvili is also proving again and again that his win against Federer wasn't a luck... He's a very good player too... Congratulations to both of these players...

Since the French open final loss I dont think tsitsipas has been playing with the same power, intelligence and confidence he had during the clay court season. Something just hasnt seemed right with his game.

I think J.sock has more power but he loses speed when generates spin. IMO Fritz has a PRO forehand, which varies depending on your confidence.

I was at the matches today, and I think the crowd got to him a little bit when they started cheering for Fritz to beat him. Of course, that's all part of the game...better luck next time to Zverev. Fritz was being aggressive and playing out of his mind. Really couldn't have predicted that today would've been a day of upsets!

For the first time in ATP Masters 1000 history (280 events since year 1990), all 4 semi-finalists are outside the Top 25 of the FedExATP Rankings. At least some record is broken, happened once in more than 30 years. Enjoy watching semis, they will be kind of very special as it never happened to be so low 🤣

Zverev's stamina still isn't good enough. I thought he had sorted it out after that 5 set semifinal vs Djokovic in the US Open but he looked gassed today. Great match by Fritz, it's great to see some unexpected faces there.

As all these allegations and hate rise against Stefanos for all his antics, he has always been very gracious in defeat and in his interviews would always acknowledge his opponents brilliance and on the other hand, Zverev, as good as a player he is, has zero class in defeat, and a very condescending attitude towards his contemporaries. Very evident in this match against Fritz again, as always, sore loser.
