Put yourself in this guys shoes for 10 seconds. Imagine having a neighbor with dangerous dogs incessantly and constantly barking and living in fear of these dogs and his "armed guards" - McAffee was an utter @$$hole. But then he's Libertarian so I repeat myself. Frankly, I don't think I've ever come across a Libertarian that wasn't as utter @$$hole. And, yes, that includes Stossel.

Blaze Duskdreamer You’re trying to justify mass killing dogs because they barked? You sound like an absolute coward. Yes, if I was in the victim’s shoes, I would be PISSED if I had to hear dogs barking all day long. But like almost everyone on Earth, I would never even consider murdering the dogs as a solution. He had other options. Anyone who cowardly sends a group of animals to a slow painful death, opens themselves to the possibility of being shot in the fuckin head by the person who loved those dogs. The world is a better place without that guy.

Funny! lol. Seriously. I know you commented this over a year ago. But, the reason I bothered to respond is also why it is worth the effort. McAfee makes it violently and with a hostile expression that he does not and has not had anything to do with McAfee, in 15+ years. He hates the company and gets hot-headed even at the mention of it. They changed all of his original code which he says was beautiful and elegant from the first key input. (I'm a coder and I know what companies do to programming code after they buy it out completely from the original coder(s.) Such companies nearly always change it from the core, up. It's usually the name they are actually buying and not the invention of the product. Although that varies. So much so that it's rumoured he punched a guy out for asking him on the street how to remove it. If you're not around kids you should watch his own 5-minute video about it. I always feel that anti-virus companies write viruses themselves. As anti-virus programs get better the viruses are harder to create. You gotta make sure there’s bad viruses in order to sell your product.

Some anti-virus companies have actually been caught doing exactly that, or at least helping to distribute and popularize specific viruses. Then there's the whole issue with even the biggest ones agreeing to NOT target viruses and spyware used by intelligence agencies (like Stuxnet and Pegasus).

If what you do on your own property has influence beyond its borders, everyone gets to complain. A potential military base/drug plant next door is no small threat, if you think that's selfish, think about the reasons why nuclear warfare is outlawed and why so many countries ban firearms. Neighbor's dogs barking is nightmarish for those who wish to spend their days in silence, couple that with armed local gangs on patrol and the constant partying with prostitutes? Put yourself in that guy's shoes and you'll have a basic understanding. But I do agree, poisoning dogs to silence them is a major overreaction.

When I went to Belize for spring break in 2016 I went on a boat at Orange Walk that was heading to some Mayan ruins and there was a big house next to the water and the guide told me it was McAfee’s house and that he had been on the run from the Belizean police because he allegedly murdered somebody there and the guide also said McAfee had bribed him in person with a wristwatch telling him to keep quiet about all of it. He said he took the watch and just kept quiet.

DUDE I lived close to Roanoke College in Roanoke, Va. My aunt and uncle actually lived across the street from the college and I remember hitting some pretty sick hills for sledding over there after snow storms. Wow talk about a small world. This channel seems to hit me personally whether its talking about a living meme from the state of Ohio (where I live now) or a place like Roanoke, Virginia (Where I used to live).

They were normal people, as opposed to fantastical characters, that happened to be heroic. In modern usage, antihero refers to a hero that lacks the moral traits of traditional heroes, while still being something of a hero. They might be rude, violent, unlovable and egotistical, but they are still heroes. McAfee is just an asshole.
