Awesome video brother. I knew the Qibla was originally Al-Aqsa but didn’t know specifically when it was changed, Jazakallah Khairun.

since G-D is the ruler of the ummah, the masjid was the not just for prayer but was also the political center during the time of the rightly guided khulafa. the mimber was used by the khalifa to give rulings on every matter which was agreed upon by the shura. this was continuation of the zadokite/sadducee priestly theocracy, the first one in world history, from jerusalem which was maintained by the quraish in mecca and continued by the prophet (pbuh). prior to the prophet (saws), there was the "house of gathering" next to the kaaba, the sanhedrin, where the quraish would meet to discuss everything related to the community. the masjid became this "house of gathering" during the time of the khulafa in medina. islam is the religion of moses cleansed of the innovations by the zadokite/sadducee priesthood. the prophet (saws) was the last israelite nabi for the bani israel (who has no biological and religious connection to jews and judaism soon after 70ce to this day) and the first and last messenger to entire mankind including the bani israel. biologically the falastini are continuation of the bani israel than any other people on the planet today.

You are absolutely right with your sharing. Mosques did have a political angle but I attempted to refrain from the inclusion of that aspect in this video and focus more on the theological elements as well as the architectural. Thanks for your great commentary though. Very informative.

Thank you for a wonderful presentation. this is quite fascinating, the way you acted as a proper guide and showed us around a masjid. ur body language along with the dialogue is very much on point, seems as if you were a TV presenter or something along those lines. the whole narration was quite impressive. 👋👋

Haha. Not a TV presenter by a long shot but also not shy of a camera I guess. Thank you for the great and supportive comments. That was the intention. Taking those who don’t know about mosques through a quick crash course journey. And for those that do know then to remind them of what they might have forgotten.

I enjoyed your video especially the pictures of some amazing Masjids but you said a Muslim can practise their religion entirely without ever stepping foot in a Masjid, this is incorrect as salatul jummah or Friday prayers is compulsory for a males, mentioned in surah Jummah in the Quran. Please correct. Also salah is one of the 5 pillars of Islam which the Masjid is linked to of course, and the Prophet pbuh would pray nearly all the time in the Masjid for the 5 daily prayers. He pbuh also advised Muslims to do so not just for the 27 times more reward as u mentioned, but other benefits too as being part of the community by knowing who needs help or assistance, funerals, marriages and much more all central to the Masjids.

Hello and thank you for your sharing of the knowledge as well as your criticism of the content. Regarding prayer in the mosque as a duty, there iare two element here that need to be clarified. The first is that there is a distinction between the prayer of Jama'ah and that of praying at a mosque. There were not as many mosques in the old times of islam and hence predicating that one must pray in a mosque as a Fardh was not reflective of the situation of Islam's ability to establish accessible mosques for all to attend. The priority was to the Salat AlJama'ah, Group Prayer. So praying at the mosque was Wajib, a duty tot hose who were able and if a mosque was accessible. In no way does the video question the notion of prayer. The second element tackles the element of women who in Islam typically didn't attend the mosque for prayer. Hence 50% of the Muslim population most probably have indeed never set a foot in a mosque. But that doesn't mean they haven't practiced Salat AlJama'ah. I agree about your point that attending mosques in not only about prayer in unison with other believers but also has a social benefit. I thank you very much about your comments and kind words.
