I had the pleasure of sitting down with Matthew and his 1970 C10. We discuss how this once bagged show truck has been transformed into a full out autocross build all accidentally mind you. I think you'll appreciate all the hard work Matthew has done to his truck and the results I think speak for themselves. Enjoy.

I’ve been driving mine for 31 year now I have 5000 in it. My dads 67 chevelle 375 hp 327 turbo 350 shift and stall drum brakes 3 in exhaust 12 in 15’s 295 50 tires and in highlands NC I mess with Lamborghini and corvettes every day. Every day in the mountains, still making money with mine every day. On the road local mechanic. So when the people complaining about my exhaust the city cops let them know the want be complaining if the get in a wreck or break down it’s so cool. Just don’t try to open it up in town in front of a bunch of people when you forget you have all three of you big tool bags and your heaviest floor jack in the back. You could get traction and almost flip over in the middle of town. Thank GOD it was wet and I did break traction and it sat back down. Good stuff really love your truck. Still have my first c10 67 I save 30 years for all the parts and just now getting ready to put everything together. Every body has cars even me but I will jump in my c10 faster then I do my hugger orange 69 396/427 super t10 9in Camaro. Life is to short to have to drive a Mercades there for old rich people that never want to touch there cars. Sorry

I was once & others listening (mostly) and exchanging with Chip Foose at a car show talking about swaps & builds and craftsmanship and one thing he said that stayed with me when building my dream-sleeper was :'no matter what your project is ,whatever it is for ,but it is your 'dream' car and he said : the key & secret to a reliable successful build is no matter what it is ,is :'Heat management'..he said ;'you want to be in control of any heat that engine & exhaust is producing (especially turbo) ,and it will be the difference between an enjoyable daily or race car or a pain...I heard you said that cabin was getting awfully hot because of the exhaust and maybe firewall radiating and it is an N/A motor.!.imagine with twin turbos..!! ,this got to make you 'lose' time on a track being too hot in there..!!! and I"m sure it will be an 'easy' fix ,but some people have been caught up in a terrible experience after finishing their dream car like the Ultima kit builds where some guys could not even drive their car in winter because of the heat inside AC or not..!!..anyway this truck is a marvel ,a dream and the shots inside your truck's bay are amazing ,fabulous to watch all these parts working together..!!

Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it has gone through a couple motors since this was filmed. An update video will come when the truck is back in running order. With anything, you live and learn and I think the new version will have addressed any issues the truck had in its past.

Thanks I appreciate that. I really wanted to add that into my videos but I get a lot of people commenting on less talking and more footage of them driving but I’ve always wanted to know how vehicles were built and why so I appreciate your comment.

Nice! I am working on a 99 Silverado with a Gen 5 LT1 and 8L80. I am running an H pipe, but I was debating between the Black Widows and the Magna Flows. I really love the sound of your truck, but I also like that deep throaty sound of the Magna Flows. I guess I hear them in person before I make that decision. Great job on the truck though. You gave me some great ideas.

Seeing that color, I'd put my money on it being Sunburst Orange 2 Metallic which is a factory GM color, my Avalanche was that color. If it's not I bet it's very close.
