That's how I explained adhd for years, after reading Dr. Howewell. Adhd's not a disorder but a trait. I have a Ferrari brain, and smart enough to keep the right wife coach, and now years later, we've become part of the FIRE community. now figure that out.... smile . Hyperfocused on real-estate investments over the years having my wife coaching the Adhd in it all. Retired at 56. Passive income. All because I used the adhd Ferrari brain combo with Dreams of real-estate. What a 25 year ride.

I found something interesting about me, (I recently realize I have ADD) I don’t have those dmm thoughts at all, maybe because my mother always considered me as a genius & whenever I failed to do my homework because it was so boring, she was doing them for me with a full confidence that I’ll pass the exam & already learned no need to do the mundane task. I believe most of those thoughts are rooted in how we are perceived in the early years of our lives by the environment (parents & teachers etc.)
