Thank you, thank you, thank you ZDogg for sharing so openly about your awakening process with Margaret. The vulnerability and honesty is incredible to witness. And a huge THANK YOU to Angelo for emphasizing the energetic part of awakening that so many non-dual teachers seem to ignore, or worse, deny. The shadow component has been quite easy compared to working with the energy and layers of tension in my body. We need more non-dual leaders to help people understand what the body and nervous system may have to deal with as the attachment to the sense of "I" dies. Bravo!

Even though I already watched this on Angelo's channel, I was drawn to watch this again. I felt like I was watching a new video watching it a second time.There's just something about this conversation that hits me in a place that I cannot put into words. I know I don't have to find the words but I do need to say thank you so so much again for sharing this part of your life with us.

If no one has words, no one can understand. "It didn't happen to anyone. Too hard to talk about. Waking up to a new nothing." I have no idea what anyone is talking about and I feel like there's some inside group that they all know what they're talking about but you have to already know what the secret underwent. Referring it to "whatever this is ". He refers to the "thing" as this or that but refuses to define what the "this or that " is. I'm not saying this is a cult, but if no one gets "it" and you can only refer to "it" as "this", what on earth are we even hearing about? Sorry, there's not enough info for me to continue to watch without worrying that this is some kind of weird thing. Like, are you communicating with aliens? Joining a cult? What? What is "THIS".

@@frankG335 the best direction I can say is "this" is looking at everything happening in your experience each moment. Also see any thoughts about present past or future as just pure experience/ sensation

Hello, Stacey, I totally get your wariness and your skepticism. I have not had this experience personally, so I can’t speak to the “This” being described here. But I have had glimpses and tastes, and I have some sense of the “deeper truth” being spoken to here. What I can say is that what is being talked about here is so radically different than the way of life we collectively call “normal” that it almost inevitably stirs wariness and skepticism. And only YOU, and each of us, can decide and discover whether there is something in this that calls and even compels us to pay attention. Might I suggest that if you’re not called to explore this more deeply (primarily in yourself), then trust that instinct. But, if something calls you beyond the fears and the apparent weirdness of all this, you can trust that, as well. Finally, for whatever it may be worth, I have close experience with 3 of the 4 people involved here, and I know them each to be genuine, trustworthy, and of the highest integrity. I followed a corrupt spiritual teacher once, so I acknowledge and honor your hesitation, but this crew is the real deal, even if the “This” they point to can seem ephemeral to the point of unreality. If you find yourself interested but lost in the apparent depths of this, might I suggest the first interview ZDOGGMD posted with Angelo. I believe it’s called “What is Awakening?” and it’s a great introduction to “This.” All the best to you, whatever you decide to do or not do from here… Mac Parker

When ZDogg started talking “awakening” and “energetics” after spending two years being very logical and scientific about COVID, I dropped out. But in the last few months, my wife and i have been taking some newly legal edibles as a sleep aid and I noticed how it opened my mind up in a way that allowed me to be much more in the moment. That took me to the place of, “what if I put myself in a meditative state with my eyes open (and sober)?” But the whole time I’ve struggled to understand the benefit of doing this; it even felt selfish to be taking time away from my family to work on this. All of a sudden, my wife is going through some hard times and somehow I’m totally calm, but also really in tune with the situation and with her. Because I’m in this “now” state, I’ve been able to give her these “meditation back rubs” that help her process her tragedy and it’s brought us closer than either of us even knew was possible. And now I’m going back through these ZDogg energy videos and actually getting something from them. So glad you were able to put these out there and keep them for when people are ready to experience things like this.

This man has come a long way. The transformation is kind of mind blowing. I stopped watching him years ago because he was closed minded and hard core establishment as far as main stream medicine goes. One day, KZfaq placed him in my feed and he's interviewing Daniel Schmachtenberger from the Consilience Project and I'm like "this is gonna interesting" and it was. The conversation evolved beautifully. A kick ass discussion on a number of topics but as it began to reach the end the topic of health and medicine came up and Daniel immediately pointed out medicine had to evolve into a more preventative form and the topic of Functional medicine kicked in I was pleasantly surprised to see ZDogg had opened his mind. He's probably a better healer now. I've been following him since. The non dual can throw anyone, it's easy to understand why. Conditioning... Welcome home ZDogg...

Maybe I’ll go back and listen to Suzanne again, but I actually found her before the algorithm sent me to Angelo. The non-duality message already resonated with me, but what I KEPT getting hung up on with Suzanne and so many others - at least from the many videos I watched of hers she rawly speaks from that space, which is great, but heavily emphasizes that “no one to awaken, nothing to do” aspect - which I just find so frustrating. Angelo changed my life through acknowledging everything that Suzanne says while also suggesting certain approaches pre-awakening (and post) which I find to be so on point. With Suzanne I was ready to just throw in the towel of even caring about this stuff because there seemed like there was nothing I could do but watch more of her videos and wallow in my unawakeness - at best just hoping for grace to strike - at worst giving up on the whole project. I do like her though- but I had to turn her off, I was starting to get depressed. That’s when Angelo popped up❤

very interesting to hear these views and descriptions of a transformational process that - for many people - already begins in early childhood (if not earlier ;-)). around min01:04:20 angelo mentions that this whole non-thing is rather a physical and energetic one. i agree that this might be a major part of the "story" while, on the other hand, all concepts get shattered on the way, including the concept of a body and even more so, the separation of mind and body .. . For people who might be sceptical about the purpose of this conversation/sharing/goal: it´s about ultimate reality which is there, all-encompassing, omniscient, omnipotent - the only fact that exists, one might say. some of us get a glimpse of it now and then, others are not interested, and again others are blown away by this insight, literally. your persona gets blown away because it was just another obscuration. this nondual knowledge is ancient and has been taught for millenia to those fortunate ones who were already open-minded enough to listen.

I was in a Gestalt group where unconditional acceptance was given to what came out from the person on the hot seat. One night I opened to my pain and wailed like an animal for 45 minutes. After that, any association that triggered the memory of repressed pain forced me to go home, lie on my bed and let it out. I became aware that I had never really felt my body before. I would say things like, I can feel my legs. That was in my twenties. In the past 15 years I've had whole body orgasmic energy where every breath felt orgasmic. The electric pulses of energy were frequent. The heart chakra opening was intense. I can relate to the lack of compassion because everything is known to be OK. I have to be careful about what I'm doing because I am so in the present moment that if I start something, I have to finish it, because if I move on to something else what I was doing is completely gone. Your discussion in this video is completely understandable. God bless!

I’m listening to this with such love for all involved. I know Angelo, Suzanne, and have listened to you, Zubin, so many times that you feel like an old friend. And naturally delighted for Margaret. That said, i am moved to say this: As exquisitely as this is unfolding, and as much joy as I feel along with you in hearing this story , it can also be perfect and exquisite when a relationship dies and actually needs to be ended. It seems there could be a danger in your story being turned into an idealized spiritual fairy tale, like a higher vibe version of Cinderella or a romantic comedy. As far as I can tell, not all relationships will unfold as yours is. And, in my experience, even a painfully honest ending can be as exquisite and important as your lovely new beginning. I am deeply moved by your sharing of this, and feel the beauty and integrity at every turn. I just wanted to toss out a word of acknowledgment and encouragement for anyone who may be facing a transformation that is just as important, but perhaps in an apparently more devastating way. Thank you for sharing this with such honesty, vulnerability, and power. I love you all… 💜🔥🫥⭕️♥️

This newfound awareness seems perfect for this song: Summertime by The SUNDAYS Do some people wind up with the one that they adore in a heart shaped hotel room, it's what a heart is for. The bubble floats so madly will it stay sky high? Hello partner, kiss your name bye bye. Sometimes. Romantic Piscean seeks angel in disguise… Hello partner, tell me love can't fail.And it's you and me in the summertime. We'll be hand in hand down in the park. With a squeeze and a sigh and that twinkle in your eye. And all the sunshine banishes the dark. Do some people wind up, with the one that they abhor. In a distant hell hole room, third world war. But all I see is films where a colorless despair meant angry young men with immaculate hair. Sometimes. Get up a voice inside says, "There's no time for looking down" Only a pound a word and you're talking to the town. But how do you coin the phrase though that will set your soul apart? Just to touch a lonely heart… It's you I need in the summertime. As I turn my white skin red. Two peas from the same pod yes we are. Or have I read too much fiction? Is this how it happens? How does it happen?…

Awakened v. not awakened feels so binary. I like to think of these experiences as shifts; like tectonic plates in-perceivably building pressure until the earth shifts. Sometimes it’s a shift here and there, and sometimes it’s 6.0 on the Richter scale. It might be experienced as a death because we have “shape-shifted” into another iteration of the Self.

I was going to leave this as a comment on Facebook but it got a bit personally and over here is more anonymous. Got a chance to listen while I was painting my stairwell. We’re still early in this and I haven’t listened to your other videos/podcasts on this issue (I will be, soon!) though I did watch your video on your psychedelic experience. So. Wow. So much resonated with me. So many similarities to what we’ve been experiencing (individually and as a couple) but differences, too. What you said about struggling to accept compliments because “actually I’m a piece of shit” hit me so hard I could barely breathe and started crying. Literally just had an experience with this last night after a really great conversation with my behavioral neuroscience professor, I was able to receive her praise and encouragement in a way I couldn’t when I was asleep. So much of how this awakening has healed my trauma has been rooted that false belief deep inside that I was worthless and “if people only knew…” I had an intense experience the first time I took psilocybin of being loved by the Universe/Creator so fully and deeply and unconditionally that it healed me in ways I didn’t realize were possible. One trip did more to heal me than 30 years of therapy and medication. I still struggle with that feeling but I see it now for what it is. My husband is definitely your wife in our situation, never meditated or had any interest in this kind of thing, doesn’t know anything about theology or anything. But tripping together he’s had his own personal experiences (and then our shared experience) and I think watching me waking up has an impact. Alex Grey says our partner is a sacred a mirror that reflects our best and our worst ,giving us the opportunity to self-reflect and grow, and inspiring us embrace the good that our partner sees in us. I know that’s been true for us and it’s lead to similar conversations like you and your wife has had. I think just in general, intimacy is hard because it is so vulnerable and we do have that fear that we’ll reveal too much and they won’t be able to love us when they SEE us. And going through this together we SEE each other now and WOW. Wow. It’s just so powerful and so beautiful and pure. And you’re right, it’s all so hard to put into words and virtually impossible to explain to people who aren’t there (yet!) I have so much more I could say, I’d love to be able to talk someday.

Honestly, what this makes me think is: if this is what it takes, I'll never wake up.

That's a thought. Don't believe ANY thought. Don't believe anything you see here. Don't believe ANYTHING. Reality doesn't care about thoughts. It is exactly what it is. Feel the emotions directly. Feel the sensations directly. Hear the sounds directly. Watch the thoughts AS thoughts directly. There's nothing else "you" can do. Then...

@@ZDoggMD My problem is the following: I realise I am not my thoughts, know what I am not, but I do not know what I am. Like an erosion without a decisive shift. Like a dulling of experience. I feel like a dull mind. It seems like something is missing in my approach, maybe something is wrong, maybe not. I was wondering if you had any advice or experience here. Just to make sure I get the wording of your advice correctly: do you mean watching the thoughts for what they are, i.e. nothing more than thoughts, OR as being the thought, just like you become the sound, or the seeing? Thank you for your reply and the videos, they are a tremendous help!

I am new to the concept of "awakening" I started the app "Waking Up " I however found that I was trying hard to understand and conceptualize what he was getting at.. I haven't listened for a while..so this interview has renewed my interest.. I have one (genuine) question though, is becoming "awakened" kind of like "dissociation"?
@ZDoggMD
@ZDoggMD Жыл бұрын
It's very tough to "conceptualize" for sure, which is why almost all verbal descriptions can be misleading and are merely pointers in the direction, but I think you might benefit from watching our awakening series with Dr. DiLullo, here's the first episode that summarizes awakening: zdoggmd.com/awakening-1/

@ZDoggMD 💗💗 thank you so much! I have noticed some fear around this..I asked myself, am I willing to take the leap?? I questioned "what if my goals to become a nurse, or to get fit and strong go away?!! What if I become directionless, what if my relationships change?!!" I meditated on it and received in my mind that in awakening, I become more of myself, that awakening is a part of my path to becoming... I absolutely will watch the series in the link you provided 💗💗 Thank you very much for speaking about your awakening experience :)

Love your question! Maybe it is, but in a functional way. Literally equating it with dissociation would be a mistake, because people become more functional and present, which dissociation doesn't give. I like to compare it with having the floor within you drop away, and you'll find you are a deeper sense of self, while the outside familiar way of doing stuff continues to exist too. One can still continue to live in the head, at the 'periferie of the eggshell', or include the openness showing what's always totally here.

My guess is: we often attribute the location of a sense of self, or a reference point, to something inside our head, behind our eyes. But that is just a thought we keep referencing.

withholding judgment is not possible; it's like thinking without words. how we judge and how we think -- its not easy to be clear or to understand. but transforming experience into meaning is not helped by mystical indulgence. its a hard effort, and necessary to use OTHERS in the creation of an appreciation of meaning. experience isnt meaningful-- reflecting on experience is.
