‘From Scourging Rebellion’ is a British patriotic song written by George Friedrich Handel from 1746. The song refers to the British army, led by Prince William, youngest son of King George II. William lead the British to destroy the Jacobite army in the Battle of Culloden in 1746, killing six times as many Jacobites as his own army experienced. During the aftermath, various raids and executions were carried out by his army in Scotland against Catholic and Jacobite remnants.
