These remind me of a small prop-interceptor plane I built way early on to fight any fast airborne targets and distract the more dangerous enemies while my main forces did the real damage. They were pretty effective as distractions, since their erratic flight patterns made them nigh impossible to hit, but their AA capabilities were rather lacking, resulting in some pretty drawn-out battles. The way they flew was pretty interesting though; they would fly about in a most graceful manner, slowly going lower and lower down to the water, until reaching around 100 metres, at which point their balloons would trigger and slingshot them 500 metres up into the air. Watching them gracefully dodge AA cannons, missiles and all that sort of thing was quite the sight to behold. They were highly expendable though, and very fragile. One hit would pop 'em.

So he basically made Robot Santa from Futurama. I am completely okay with this.

Lath, you should make a satellite with a bomb chute, and attempt at making the satellite look like Santa's sleigh. Explosives make the best presents =) (Especially for a certain naughty Sacred Tree)

your little zips probably would've done much better in the last fight if you added some form of missile defense. I'm not sure if any of Santa's shells actually hit, however from what I could tell though is that your zips have a hard time dodging missiles, which killed most of them. I think it would be very entertaining to see the little zips, with flares or something, take down Santa. Still an amazing video though:)

just for the novelty, I would love to see a flying cram cannon, one that does a lot of damage but is small and hard to hit

Advanced cannons are just disgustingly good in FTD right now. They don't make sense, just magically delete the beams they gi through, yay. They are like the lasers from 10 months ago, just can't beat them.

Lathrix, you should build a ship for one of the campaigns! You think your designs don't look good, but they do. Maybe not as good as some of those other designs, but it's definitely better than some as well. The important part is that you can actually make good vehicles which can fight. :) You would be perfect for making a design, as long as it isn't a themed campaign like the Christmas and Halloween campaigns. You don't have to contribute a lot, but you should at least offer one vessel! Pleeeeaaase?

Just wanna correct one small thing, its a quarter of the damage per beam, so it has half damage TOTAL. if you want to fire something in that configuration, just use the PAC piece itself. the lenses are only really useful for arranging in a circle to core out a section of an enemy craft at medium range. Hope this is somewhat usefll Edit: you fool! Nick is the developer of from the depths :P You should know this stuff by now.

how do you do subobject turrets? I tried using the tractor beam but all it does is weakly pull the other parts towards it and doesn't keep it straight (they are free to rotate because gravity and stuff.)
