But those old school bowlers that Bradman faced on perfect batting wickets did bowl text book line and length and many were expert swing bowlers. Greatest Cricket team ever. The west indies I mean. And I'm an Aussie! Im 55 years old and I hated the way the West Indies dominated us. But now that Im older I really appreciate the skill and style they played the game.
So good to see "Supercat" Clive Lloyd batting again. The West Indies owed so much of their success to Clive's ability to maintain discipline and channel the team's efforts, and keep so many talented individuals all pulling in one direction.

Fabulous stuff. Lillee v Richards - the best against the best. Usually when Sir Viv got past 50, you could only pray that he'd get too casual and give his wicket away. I remember Colin Croft saying recently that the West Indies batsmen were never really under pressure in a test match because they knew they'd win because it was rare for an opposition to make over 200 against that bowling line up. Some may remember the first test in England in 1984 when Bob Willis declared and left them 343 to get on the last day. They only lost one wicket in the chase! Anyone watching them during this era would laugh at the current teams being ranked as the No 1 test side now. Wouldn't get near this mob! DK Lillee was the key factor in Australia not being humiliated every time they went out against them. His 4/10 in the last session against them on Boxing Day 1981 is one of the greatest cricketing performances I've ever seen. Viv Richards bowled middle stump for a duck on the last ball of the day. @17:32 So good to see D. K. Lillee kept his fluids up by having a quiet sip of beer on the boundary. 🤣🍺

The boundaries were longer back in those days and I distinctly remember the sight-screen being inside the field in Australia which was the only respite for those trying to hit straight down the ground. You also don't see any 5s being run these days,,

I was in school those days. We used to enjoy cricket too much because of these great great cricketers. Really it was the golden era of cricket. Now a days no such flavour in cricket. Thanks for posting. Please post India vs Australia, 1977 test where Australia lost to India after follow on. In this test great spinners of India Prasanna, Chandrasekhar,, Bedi, were playing
