Wyandotte Chicken Development from Chick to full grown Hen! Golden Laced Wyandotte Chicken growing up. Development of freshly hatched Wyandotte chick to adult hen. I documented the changes of the chick every day for the first few weeks, and every week thereafter, recording all stages of development/aging process and growth from the female chick to the full grown adult chicken.

I have chicks that are nearing 6 weeks. I'm wondering about their ability to handle outdoor temps. Looks like they are not fully feathered until about 9 weeks? My 6 weeks can handle 70 degree temps outdoors with sunshine and shade control as needed. So, I'm looking at babying them until about ten weeks, yeah? Hard to tell, these things.

I have heard Wyandottes can be a little aggressive how are yours behaving? we've got about 10 new ones they're still in the about the 20-day stage wyandottes golden comets ISA browns and some Easter eggers just wondering how they're all going to live together hopefully well because they're all being raised together. fun part is going to be when we introduce them to our flock of six white leghorns that are about 3 years old as of right now the white leghorns have no interest in the chicks I've got a pen out in the yard I take them out for a few hours each day and let them ramp around in the white leghorns pretty much ignore them. my guess the fun will begin when they decide to pick a roosting spot in the coop the white leghorns already have their established spots
