I over thredded that bolt at 4.43 on my dad's ford capri and I never told him because he will be pissed, few days later on the dual carriageway he was driving at 45mph when the bloody thing came out ,thank God he was alright.

It took me to 4:52 before wondering who was the mechanic and yes, the good old sandels beer logo in the background revealed the secret 😎

I think you installed the dust cover on the driveshaft (@ 4:38) backwards.

Was looking at the same thing as I replaced my drive shaft and I fitted it with those groves inwards.

Hey i bought that red case bearing tool from Amazon and the 4 studs that are placed on the plate are of two different lengths! I would advise anyone doing this job to buy a US Pro tool as this red case tool really left me in a pickle when i needed to do the job.

Good video and all but .... there's no way in hell that ball joint and tie rod end just popped out like that. I've changed my own and I've driven a lot of different vehicles and ive yet to see those joints just "pop" out.
@Finnspeed8 ай бұрын
Yeah he definitely had them open before and did that just for the video. just did this and they were tight!

Wanted to make sure bearing puller is 78mm and not 82mm ?
@petritoivola5 жыл бұрын
Yes! You can see the number 78 on the puller at 1:24.

@angel rodriguez I'm sorry. I don't know. I'm really an IT guy. I know about computers and something about my own car.
@MrM6693 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much for video! So to take bearing out you tighten clockwise and to push it back in you loosen anti clockwise?
@petritoivola3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Both ways clockwise. You just use different parts of the tool for in and out.

Nah. Toughest bit missed off the vid. Getting the ball joint on and off. 4 hrs still stuck :(
@jimm69339 ай бұрын
I just took off the whole lower control arm from the frame and left the lower ball joint bolt on. Easier to do that then to try to free the stuck lower ball joint.

Is it ok to use the torque wrench to more than it's setting?
@petritoivola5 жыл бұрын
The wrench I'm using works like this www.tohnichi.com/discontinued/files/tohnichi_torque_QL_click.gif . I see no harm in using this type of click torque wrench over the setting. In general I do not recommend it though.
