Change front wheel disc brake pads of Royal Enfield Motorcycle EFI G5. Since my pads were good, I just cleaned them.

@datvichrox I agree with you that the pads tend to stick to disc. Clean pads thoroughly. The 2 small pistons may not be moving freely. Clean and lube the outside of brake pistons. The disc or wheel axle may be slightly out of alignment.

Very clear video. I've not long had my RE and I want to check the brake caliper and pad wear. I'm used to Brembo brakes so this is ideal to follow. Many thanks.

@datvichrox any one of the following can be the cause...wheel bearing damage, 2. Tyre not mounted properly - check that reference line of the tyre is parallel to the wheel rim, 3. A warped rotor (quite unlikely). To make sure your pads are not touching the rotor, rotate the wheel freely and listen for a continuous or intermittent sound of friction. Keep in mind that even a slightly unbalanced wheel can cause the pads to rub against the rotor. However the damage due to wear of the rotor touchin

great vid! I need a help: I feel that in my enfield TBTS, the disk brake pads are touching the disk constantly without applying the lever. How do I rectify this? What can I adjust? Service guys deny that there's any friction... My front wheel does not rotate freely as my old bike with drum brakes, but yours does and thats how I want it...

Hello - Thank you for designing and sharing this informative video. At 2:11/5:28 you have used circular motion while rubbing the pads on sand paper.. Is this advisable?.. Would it not be better if we do the rubbing in a single direction instead of bi-directional or circular?

Great video. Could you suggest alternatives for the brakes lube and the cleaner used by you. Could we clean with diesel and use engine oil for lubricating? Is WD40 a good cleaner? Thank you.

NO! NO, NO, NO, NO. You'll loose friction and possibly contaminate brake fluid. Doing that could kill you.
