I hate remote id. But I'm glad that there is a module made by a company that knows and cares about our hobby.

Cool that you guys came up with this but ME personally will never use remote ID. There's no way I will ever comply with that remote ID crap.

Im Not a fan Of Remote ID, But I Must comply. I bought one of these and mounted a 1s 250mah battery to it, with velcro on the bottom of the EZ ID, and I move it from drone to drone, BUT the connector on the board is wired Backward compared to the battery lead, so you must make a pigtail to fix that problem, OR buy one without a connector on it and solder you own on. The little battery last over 3 hours.

The CDA has openly and proudly acknowledged they were the driving force behind the repeal of Part 336 and the creation of these regulations for the express purpose of clearing hobbyists out of the airspace. The FAA has stated the purpose of RID is to facilitate enforcement of the regulations. Therefore, complying with RID requirements is validating the CDA’s claim that we don’t belong in **their** airspace. Do not comply. To do so is tacit agreement that this hobby should die. FT should know better. 😢

Thanks for making these! Nice of you to include pigtails, but are any of the batteries in your store already correctly wired for plug-and-play? And/or, can you specify what the pin pitch is of the connector for the version with a pre-attached connector?

Each club could get a remote ID module. Simply turn it on at the beginning of the flight session then turn it off when you go home. Karen drives by and sees an rc plane. Karen just happens to have the remote ID app on her phone then does a search. The app reveals a RID signal. Karen is now satisfied and relieved that she doesn't have to file a report to the nearest FAA office or summon local law enforcement.

Maybe a dumb question. Is it FAA and FCC approved? I like it, but just haveta ask. 👍

This past weekend I tested every drone in my fleet for Remote ID non-compliance and guess what? They all passed with flying colors! Looking forward to starting my “RC life of crime” today!

Do not comply. Give them an inch and they'll take a mile. Flying anything will become completely illegal once they monopolize the entire airspace. Don't let them take this hobby from us.

I like the idea that this is more than just remote id. The additional features and rewards are selling me on this as a drone pilot.

Why was manufacturing in America important? A price of $100 is a slap in the face to the hobby, especially from the guys who used to try to get people in the air "for the price of a video game"

Sorry Josh, I know you mean well but FRIA's nor RID is growing the hobby, In fact the hobby is already in decline and only going to get worse as this nonsense continues to be thrust on it. FRIA's ( clubs ) were never the answer for the Hobby and now with the surveillance tool called RID that allows various entities from the FAA, FBI, DHS , DOJ, Commercial Industry etc etc to know WHO, WHAT, WHERE every operator is that has ZERO to do with bad actors who will never use RID anyway and the spoofing ability already trending, the issues will only get worse by the day . Unless we as a community rise up and demand change to the useless rules the FAA and Commercial interests are creating for a hobby they know nothing about and allow REAL hobbyists a voice in the rule making and make them in a manner that could potentially help Grow the hobby and make them a benefit instead of a detriment to it , the Hobby is lost. The RID module may be something for some reason but it does Not provide safety nor security nor a help to anyone other than the commercialism of the hobby . We know through reading various facts the FAA has hidden and kept from the public and the RC Aviation community this entire fiasco is an agenda and It is NOT to grow this Hobby and in fact soon if this mess stays on course there will be no real hobby left to enjoy (well not in a manner most of us will be able to enjoy anyway ) Would be far better if the CBO's and their members would stand together and tell the FAA to pound sand instead of bowing down to them and their destruction of the hobby for Commercial lobbyists and their $$$, but we know that is never going to happen because being membership based and we all know what that means and it sure is not for the majority of the Community.
