That's really cool! I don't think it looks weird at all, it's just something you don't usually see. Happy recovery!!
@somekindofqueer99378 жыл бұрын
+Emil S Totally, the shock was more about never seeing a procedure like this before. Thank you for reassuring me it's not weird and that it's just a new method (literally that is what I am naming this surgery technique, although I thought about asking the surgeon to name it after me instead) I'm still super happy about the results :D
@ems.2258 жыл бұрын
Don't forget to tear your shirt off at the most inappropriate of times from now on! It would've been so cool if the surgeon named it after you though omg?? Like. Ohan incisions.
@JesseFredericBuchanan8 жыл бұрын
I would've reacted the same as you, but you know what? You look stunning! Think about it, if you don't like scars, you can always cover them with tattoos, or chest hair who knows?! But, really, I wouldn't hide them at all. Don't feel lonely please. sending lots of love over by internet. Take care!!
@somekindofqueer99378 жыл бұрын
+Jesse Frederic Buchanan You are amazing, thank you for this. That's what I was thinking too, I believe I have a hairy future so that could cover up a lot of the scarring. I'm already feeling less lonely
@suspendedsecond8 жыл бұрын
Wow you're right this is a /fantastic/ result, but your surgeon definitely should have told you what happened before the reveal. Even in your consultation, he could have told you that he might end up having to change the incision location.
@somekindofqueer99378 жыл бұрын
+suspendedsecond RIGHT?! I may bring this up at my next appointment, like it would have been nice to go over a contingency plan or to have known what to expect. But all surprises aside, I am very happy with the results :)

The more you look at it the better it looks. There is initial shock, as you said, since we are so used to the nipples being above the nipple instead of under. But this new procedure looks pretty awesome, and the incisions don't give the idea that moobs were removed, like regular double incision (at least to me, it gives that idea). If my nipples weren't so big I would totally consider this procedure for myself, since I am also in between, too small for DI, probably a bit too big for peri. But I'll go with peri, hopefully my results will be awesome, as yours is.
@somekindofqueer99378 жыл бұрын
I never thought of it like that but I like how you think sir! It does look "less obvious" maybe? I don't know. As with most things there are pros and cons. All the best with your surgery too :)
@DesignGuy178 жыл бұрын
Dude - I had double incision with n/grafts, then I had my nipples resized whilst awake (local anaesthetic), then I had a full revision with Garramone (new double incision and nipples moved). My point is take some time and heal and if there is anything you want to change - you can! If you end up still wanting your nipples above the incisions, it's so easy for a surgeon to move them. But my advice is to allow yourself to not be ok with certain things. You don't have to be grateful and ok with everything. You are allowed to say you want something changed. Just saw a more recent vid of you and scars are healing super well
@fennicfox86738 жыл бұрын
This looks absolutely amazing. I do agree that I am accustomed to the incisions below the nipple but this result blew me away. Very glad everything went well and I hope you have a sound recovery. c:

The result are amazing! You're healing so well. Thank you so much for being so open, and letting people see this new and innovative surgery. Hopefully it will influence other surgeons to do what is right for people's bodies, and not what is popular/the 'norm'
@somekindofqueer99378 жыл бұрын
+SpadeoJadeo Yes times a million. When I was freaking out I was reassuring myself by saying I've never been concerned with what everyone else is doing, especially if it's not what's best for me. I'm so happy my surgeon made the choice he did and didn't sacrifice my results to do a more common procedure. Thank you for the support and for being so understanding!

+Charlie Jasper Thanks man! I didn't think my nipples were in the right place at all but I trusted my surgeon and sure enough he knew better than I did! I'm excited to see how healing progresses. I hope you can figure out a procedure that will work best for you :)
@transceur53268 жыл бұрын
That is stressful as all heck, hopefully it all heals up well. I think your placement is gorgeous though. Glad your doctor was communicative as well, brilliant of him. Too many can be aloof or too busy to deal with questions and that is infuriating.
@somekindofqueer99378 жыл бұрын
+Ewan C. The physical and emotional stress this week has been A LOT, but I'm doing much better now. Thank you for reassuring me about the placement! From the start I got the impression that my surgeon actually cared, which is why I knew he did what he did for a very good reason. It's very hard to find a surgeon who is both technically skilled and an empathetic human. Dr. Ting is amazing!

Congrats on your surgery! It looks really well healed for such a short amount of time. I am in a similar situation as you, I definitely feel I am too big for peri but my nipples also seem too high for double incision. I'm not sure whats gonna happen with me yet. If you want to look at another person who's had a similar surgery check out 'alittlespooky' on youtube their name is Casper I think. I know their surgery isnt the same as yours but it's a little closer to yours than double incision, their nipples also got left in the same position its just the scars went on either side of the areolas instead of above. Best of luck and I hope you recover well, you really look great
@juvenale56608 жыл бұрын
also im sure youve heard this from your doctor or others but just some advice ive heard is that try as hard as possible to keep your heart rate low for six weeks or so, it reduces the amount of stretching in your scars as you wont have as much blood pumping, making them fade better!
@somekindofqueer99378 жыл бұрын
+Juvenale ooh this is very good to know, thank you! Yeah it's tough when you're in between. I feel like it's easier if you don't have the choice and you're only a candidate for one specific procedure. All the best figuring out what's best for you :)

I'm actually planning to get bottom surgery from Dr. Jess ting in new York. I was going to get top surgery but I rather work out my chest first and work on bottom surgery first
@pequenogaio47718 жыл бұрын
Hey! I are you doing? :) ahm... I had my top surgery a little over one year a half ago. I'm not sure if it's the same procedure you had but it's also something between double incision and periareolar (the doctor made incisions as if it was a double incision, but my nipples stayed where they were, they' re just smaller than before). My scars are positioned on a different place than yours (because I had stretch marks on my chest) but I guess you might have a similar recovery... in terms of sensation/feeling, movement ability, scar and nipple coloring and so on. I have some videos on my channel if you want to take a look. Best wishes! Muack!

Hey Ohan, thanks for sharing this. Yes, it might be unusual, but that doesn't mean it's not great. It's a "look" that works for you, can't really explain why. Another thing, could you maybe repeat the name of the surgeon? I couldn't really make out his name. Have a great day and good luck for your recovery!

@emurun99348 жыл бұрын
Hey there. That looks amazing and the healing will be so much easier with less scarring and I can see when it heals it will look very bio. In-between my regular job I volunteer at an organisation that has a Gender Centre. This would be such a good option for people who would be able to achieve the results you have if they have the body structure it requires. If it's not too much hassle and you have to see this surgeon again for follow up or whatever anyway would you mind asking him what the procedure is called? Or if he did it as a one off and someone else was explaining it to another surgeon how would they phrase it? That looks so good if it does not have a label he should name it quickly :) I apologise if I'm minimizing your understandable anxiety about an unexpected procedure with my enthusiasm. My enthusiasm is only for the result and absolutely not for the anguish of handing over control and waking up with an alternative procedure.
@somekindofqueer99378 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thank you for the message :) he never called it anything but I've heard it referred to as "comma incisions" due to their curved appearance like a comma in a sentence. In theory it's just another type of double incision procedure (that I didn't know existed!) it's not "standard double incision" where the nipples get grafted. I hope this helps!
@griffinvongabriel93698 жыл бұрын
I think your chest looks great:) Maybe I'll even do this one for myself. I have never heard of anyone being too small for di though, may I ask what too small means? I don't really understand how to measure my size, but I think I'm a big A or a small B. Is that too small for di? Thanks man and I wish you a speedy recovery:)
@somekindofqueer99378 жыл бұрын
Hey! I was about the same size I think. It was a combination of reasons why I couldn't get DI - partly being small chested and partly because my native areolas were in the correct 'male' location already. With DI the nipples are grafted above their original location and that's ultimately what would not have worked for me. Mine stayed in the same place. Which is why the nipples are below the incisions.
@samtucker55148 жыл бұрын
Hey, I think your results are awesome. I've been considering top surgery and think I'm in a similar situation as you were - too small for DI and too big for peri. Did you ever find the technical name for the procedure you had? Is Dr. Ting the only surgeon who performs that procedure? Thanks!
@somekindofqueer99378 жыл бұрын
Hey! My pal Spencer said sometimes it's referred to as comma incisions because of the curved appearance of the incisions. Dr. Ting is the only surgeon I know of doing it but I haven't done extensive research. He has told me before that it's a more popular technique in Europe, but I have no idea why!

The surgeon violated your right to informed consent. What he did was unethical and probably illegal. You could probably sue him. If I were you I would have contacted a lawyer.
@SikanderG3 жыл бұрын
All I can say now (besides to contact a lawyer) is to do scar care to the point of making the incisions invisible. Ayurvedic balms have helped me with other scars, so you should consider using one of those (potentially in addition to silicone based treatment).
