Come with me on a real-world journey shooting some tricky scenarios in my studio with the Fujifilm GFX 100 II and the new GF 55mm f1.7 Lens
I'm joined by Gabe from Camera Pro and we talk through our expectations before actually using the camera, and then give you our feedback after the shoot.
We share actual examples of the images we created, as well as plenty of other examples of work I shot with the camera whilst I had it for a week.
Is the GFX 100 II a Medium Format Monster, or is it all Bark and no Bite?
Thanks again to ‪@FujifilmAu‬ & Camera Pro for early access to this camera.

Thanks for video. Basically saving mine for landscape / portrait work. If I’m heading out for sports or wildlife, I’ll typically grab one of my Z9’s. I found the trigger response on Fuji to be a little sluggish. Trying to capture the peak of action, I would have higher success rate on Nikon. This may just be a learning curve where a little more practice will improve keeper shots. Thanks.

@@EnvoyeSHOOT I use profoto flashes so I have the latest pro connect trigger. That being said, make sure your shutter is 1/125 as that’s what Fuji’s flash sync speed is

How is the eye tracking? Usable? I find it not usable with my 100s

It’s great. I did a live shoot as part of an event with fujifilm last night and I was able to use eye autofocus in low light with zero issues

I love Fuji… but I can’t see myself spending that much for this camera…..I’ve used other fujifilm.. cameras,, the only thing is they are not great in low light… I need a camera that all around, I know there’s no perfect camera.. but fuji is great in great lighting

I don't know if I am doing something weird, but my X-T5 handles low light better than any Cannon I ever owned Actually any previous camera I've owned.. Maybe give some of the new sensors a chance

@@SA-ho1mu I did,, I had the xh2,, the one with 40 mp,, still had in low light

This camera is very good in low light due to its larger than full-frame sensor. I also own and use the x-h2 and I’ve never really had an issue, but if you’re working in clubs or always shooting at night then yes something a Sony would be better.

@@lazsmith facts,, I’ve had Sony before, started out with Sony.. wanted to give Fuji a try, I still own my xt4, can’t trade it in because one of the memory card slots is broken.. smh.. fujifilm want 800 to repair.. and I only use it in good lighting .. I recently shot a wedding and they light was very dim.. I also used a flash with the xh2 , they look good on camera, but when I went to go edit,, it didn’t looked the same.. I now have to canon r8 and r6, I feel that full frame cameras work better for the low light situation.. Sony is always a go… but I feel everyone goes to Sony.. Sony is on the expensive side in my opinion.

Model standing in one place even dancing is not do hard to focus. I shoot with 100s and its ok, perhaps buffor could be larger.

True, but a small child running around erratically at 1.7 aperture on medium format is a whole other thing. Don’t get me wrong, I love my 100s and I’ve done great work with it, but using them side by side there is a HUGE difference in performance

Jeez. So much talk so little camera. Better not to have this vid if they constrained what you could show.
