It's like Fujifilm configured the autofocus a bit differently in each pre-production X-H2s and then shipped them to KZfaqrs and reviewers to test which config works best :D

But are the pictures actually in focus ? I get tons of miss on my XT4 with moving subjects... Hard to tell from the YT quality. Could be focused on the nose or ear.

This video was fun as always. I would certainly interested in more AF test. Seamless transition between object tracking and eye focus, video AF, any fail safe features, and also with different lenses.

I'm happy to see that Fuji is back!!!!!! The fan and eye auto focus are brilliant and this will push, Canon, Nikon, and Sony, especially with the fan idea that doesn't require another body.

Your the first review I’ve seen that focused on auto focus. Lol. Also, if/when possible, put the xhs2 to go against the sony a7iv. Would love to see how the autofocus compares. Or even put it against the Nikon z9 if possible. Since this is both their first stacked sensor. But other then that, awesome video. You earned yourself a sub from me.

You need to do AF test with a very unpredictable subject and different lightning condition. With R6 set Face Detect with Auto Initial.

Which of the 2 cards should be used for photography? I'm sort of confused why it takes 2 different types of cards! - Great video, I enjoyed the light-heartedness of it all... refreshing and informative!

Personally like dials of of xh1 better. They are so practically. Especially when you are not often using the camera and you are free from digging in the menu. I need reading classes for that.

Excellent and funny review, infotainment at its best, thank you so much! As a Nikon Z- shooter I am still undecided if I should change horses and go to Fuji especially for wildlife photography. After watching this video I am sure that I would have much fun with the X-H2s together with the 18-120 F4 and even more with the new 150-600mm, which could open new opportunities in animal photography.

Great overview and tests Taylor. I have been looking forward to these Fujifilm releases. I would like to know whether you can assign Custom Modes (on mode dial) to both photo and video options? (you can only assign the to photo settings on the X-S10). It would also be great if you could test out that new XF 150-600mm lens for wildlife. And then test the bird detection AF against the OM-1 and the Canon R7, that would be very interesting.

The westman islands is the place to be for puffins. But you have to take a ferry so it's a commitment. How is the subject acquisition and focus hunting for birds? The XT4 would take forever to get initial focus on a bird. Then in difficult lighting it would endlessly hunt for focus without ever finding the bird. Your focus tests were already prefocused on the subject so I'm talking about if you were focused on a bird or person x feet away then needed to acquire focus in a completely different location.

I film weddings with the A74 which is great, but I love Fuji! I might add this to my kit? If the video autofocus is as good or almost as good as the Sony.

Hey thanks for the video. You seem to have experienced better autofocus than what others are reporting. Were you more referring to photography autofocus? Or did you also experience good autofocus in video mode as well.

I might've missed this, but what lens were you using at 8:25 when filming the waterfall?

One day I like to test the H2 , 40Mp version( if the rumors are true) with a fringer adaper ( fuji x to nikon F) on a old Sigma 500mm f4.5...will it work ? That will be far more interesting then a z9( that is far beyond my budget anyway) , becouse 40Mp DX would be a pixel pich of a 94Mp Fullframe.. the the lens could resolve 60Mp..at f8.0 I can have enormous amount of details at a distance for a small price .. cropping will be no problem A Nikon D500 mirrorless version in the future? , if the AF of the Fuji does well in this combination, this will be also not interesting , 40Mp on DX , who can better this ? It is extreme.. Good adapters can lure a lot of wildlife shooters with "old" superteles( Canon/Nikon) in to the Fuji system... it has superb colours !

Did you do any further focus testing on video mate? I want this camera for video primarily. Too many posters on this camera refer to the square on the screen only and not the actual recorded footage. Keen to learn if you had any other findings outside of this video - cheers.

Fujifilm says XH2S can do video stuff without a gimbal where other cameras need one, e.g. directly to drone or run and gun without a Ronin. Would you be able to test that claim? Can hardly believe it would be good enough!

AF seems fixed. The only last thing that prevents me from going X-H2s is the lack of 12 bits internal video recording. Any chance it comes with a firmware update?

Does it still do that weird flicker when zooming on different lenses in video? Does it still adjust the aperture in steps during video or is it seamless?

My X-H1 stops recording video when changing from a depleted battery to the next one when using the battery grip, does this have the same behaviour or any others that interrupt the recording?

We need some autofocus tests specifically for video. The Fuji autofocus has been usable for photography for a while, video is where it falls apart.

I can't justify the price point of $2500 for Fuji XH2s APSC camera. This should have been a $1999 camera, considering XT4 is going for $1699. If you are videographer, for the same price you can get Blackmagic 6k Pro. If you are a wild life photographer, you can get Canon R6 Full Frame for the same price. For $1000 less, you can also get Canon R7 APSC for wildlife. If you are a portrait photographer, you can get Nikon Z7 (45MP) Full Frame, Sony A7R3(42MP) Full Frame all for the same price. If you are hybrid shooter, you can get Sony a7 IV for the same price. For every type of photographer, there is a much better alternative camera with more mega pixels and better focusing system for the same price tag. Why bother this Fuji? I think Fuji really missed out on this opportunity.

Fuji playing catchup, this new sensor will be on all new x cameras for at least the next 3 years, where Sony, Canon, will have A75,R62 for the same price.

Please do more af test in video. I sold my xt4 and got a a7iv solely based on af. So I’ll be damn if it’s just as fast.
