I hear a lot of people hesitating between the Fujifilm X-E4 and the Fujifilm X100V. These are VERY similar cameras and do a lot of similar things but... which one is THE one for you? What options and functions do you really need for your workflow?
I go over the similarities, the differences and what you can and can't do with each.

I just picked up the X100F for $900 in Silver 10/10 condition with the manuals, box, and extra accessories. Such a beautiful camera. I was going to get the X100V but the price is not worth it and I really like the D-Pad on the F because they remove the D-Pad in the V.

I love the x100 series… But returned it bc the 23mm focal length just wasn’t my jam. I love the xe4. I’ve found it’s a great little second camera.

I have both, but I'm a 50 mm eq. kinda guy and so I love the X-E4 more. I also like the simplicity of the X-E4's design. The X100V feels so 'expensive' and that's a psychological barrier for me to use it. X-E4 feels more like: it's more affordable so I can be less careful with it. For meditative shooting X100V is really nice because of the OVF (so you won't be result oriented but process oriented) and the weather sealing takes away some thinking to just take it out.

My xe4 gets warm after some time(10min of use)... especially the battery. When I bought it this was not the issue... once in a wedding I clicked a lot of pictures which made the camera very warm...ig from there onwards the prb started. What should I do? Does changing the battery help?

That’s strange… especially if you’re only taking photos! Try changing the battery. Also I shoot only with the evf with eye detection (might help with the overheating BUT never heard of 10 minutes getting it too warm. Might have to get it fixed/replaced

Yes you can, same battery as the XPro3, XT3 and X-S10

I really wanted to like the XE4. For me the lack of WR and the bad EVF were the main deal breakers. The dream camera would be an X100 with interchangeable lenses. We will never get it though.

X100V. Weather sealed, nd filter incorporated, no complications on focal length.

Not the point. The point is: does Fujifilm give the WR label and rating when you buy it? No. On a separate note tho: I never had a problem with it in dusty/humid conditions so we could say it’s 95%WR if we wanted to be really peaky 😊 Cheers!

Little addendum to the video: The X100V is 98% WR - which is why I said "not weather resistant". However, the X100F wasn't at all and therefor this will be good for 98% of the cases. To make it 100% WR you'll have to add the Fujifilm AR-X100.

100v is more luxurious, but XE4 just check more boxes when it comes to practicality.

Misleading the 100v is water resistant, you wouldn't say a camera body isn't water resistant just because you haven't picked a water resistant lens for it yet.

A) NO camera is “water” resistant (get yourself a GoPro then!) B) this is not a “body” it’s a FIX combo where you cannot change the lens. Read my pinned comment where I say it is ALMOST fully WR. It would be misleading to say it IS when it’s NOT fully! You can make it 100% WR but you’ll need to buy additional accessories.

The X100V feels like a quality camera in your hands, whereas the XE4 feels like a toy.

Is XE4 good for low light ?

Yes definitely. Same sensor as an XT4 for example or a Pro3 so the lowlight performance FOR PHOTO is good (I use Sony for video). Cheers

The XE4 has no lens. So you can put any lens you want - same as the XT4 basically. The 100V has a fix 23mm f2 lens tho.

@@tush_2870 if it were me... the 27mm as it is so small, however the AF can be very slow though. So if you don't mind a little bigger physically, the XF16F2.8 XF23F2 or XF35F2 depending on your preffered focal length. Cris hope you don't mind me giving my opinion, nice video, I have the XE3 and would not buy an X100 as I love being able to use the lenses from my XT4
