You keep the old subframe, wrap the white into matt black, and add a center matt black line through the tank. The overall is so good looking I’m actually thinking about swapping mine out ! 🔥

Code 46 is a low voltage in your charging system, my bike needed a new stator/restifier

Deffinitly keep the sub frame as is. Paint/wrap it black as well as the tank so it’ll be a solid line across the mid. 10/10

for those who are bypassing the headlight control module here's what I did and it worked. *I'm aware of what the headlight control module does but I couldn't care less since I got the whole set for cheap w/out the module* Main headlights: Low beam: black (n) red (p) High beam: Yellow (n) green (p) you can cut the little ends of your pre-existing headlights and solder together or hook it up directly into the main harness of the 08-16 model (I've done both works fine) the only issue is you will have to disconnect the whole main harness every time you remove the headlights VS destroying your 2008 headlights. pick your poison. Running light: 3 wires - black (n) other 2 colours (p) (mine was black w/red line and black w/yellow) I wired both positive together since the parker lights are a 2 pin plug and the newer model is 3 pin. I cut the parker plug (2008 headlights) and soldered the plug to the new headlights. I'm sure you can directly hook it up to the parker lights on the main harness. I will update how long it takes until my headlights fry lol, peace out.

Code 46 is a charging issue. Could be a bad stator or the charging wires that run from the stator to the rectifier. Check the recipient plug to see if they are burnt

I have to say, the 2008 back end with the 2020 front end looks much better. I do not like the 2020 back end on both Rs at all. Get rid of that Akra trumpet and fit a high level Akra, then you will have the second best looking bike out there. I own the best looking bike! Great work bro!

İ think to put 2017 up tail and subframe you must modify gastank mount holder. With taht subframe you must install 2017 up seat and it wont fit to original mounts. Good luck, great job!

I don't mean to sound like a critic but I honestly don't dig it. The old tail makes the bike really beefy. I'm the sorta guy that's a fan of the newer curved slim tails imo. Although your setup can prob work with new colors and decals!

Leave the 2008-2016 Yamaha R6 rear end. That way, the bike will be unique. If you convert both the front and rear end to the newer R6, it'll just look like a 2017-2020 R6, and won't grab anybody's attention.

I think it looks cool, with the new front end and the old back part, with the wrap you said! If you try to convert the back part to the new 2020 will it just fit? Or will you have to lose the passenger seat just like the R1? If you have to go through a lot of trouble and possibly lose the back seat, I would leave it like that. Bike will lose value

Oh man, what are the odds of happening upon a guy with so many Yamahas!? Any chance you know whether the 2009 oem handlebar clip-ons will work on a 2007? The part numbers are different. I called the Yamaha head office, but as usual they just shrugged their shoulders (sometimes I wonder if I accidentally selected the piano division's phone extension).
