Join me for a full body functional pilates workout using the resistance band. This is a 30 minute session to tone arms, shoulders, legs, core and booty. It's a mixed ability workout which will both strengthen and stretch the body as well as will give you better muscle tone in those key areas. Using the band we will work through the whole body, upper and lower, as well as lots of core and booty work finding new and fun ways to both challenge and support our pilates practice. Great all over workout for toning the body. This is one to do 2-3 times a week to keep fit, flexible and strong.
These are the bands I use, choose the strength that suits you best but I tend to use the light oe the lightest as you have more options with these for both Upper and Lower Body: amzn.to/3IYfGQG

Hi Rachel thanks for this. I have a favourite band workout I do of yours from a few years back. But I can’t do the last exercise laying on my front due to my shoulder issue. So I tried this today and the last exercise is brilliant for me. I can do it laying on my front. Brilliant for the arms too. I seem to be obsessed with arms hehe. Another video added to my favourite list ❤❤ thank you .

I wish more people could come across your channel. You absolutely deserve it. I just found you and did your workouts two days straight. It's amazing. I would love it if you could do more 40 min barre infused pilates workouts with weights and bands with a slight kick, not cardio but more of a faster pace. In any case. I subscribed and will be using your videos for my pilates ballet barre days. 🙏🙏🙏💚💚

Such an interesting way to use the bands! My only observation is that for me, using the bands puts a lot of pressure on my arthritic hands. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the workout. You amaze me at how you continue to find ways to add variety to your routines! Variety to me is the spice of life and is what keeps me coming back week after week! Keep up the great work! --Jan

I love band workouts. Always feel so good afterwards. Can you explain the purpose of pumping the feet 3 times before lifting the arms in the exercise lying on our fronts? Thank you.

Hi Joanne, so glad you enjoyed this band workout. the feet pumping 3 times on the Double leg kick exercise is to strengthen the hamstring muscles, this part of the exercise is the strengthening and then the extension of the legs is the stretch. A wonderful exercise for the whole back of the body muscles. 🤗

Wow, excellent and challenging!🥵 my left arm was shaking when we got to being on our side - I think because of right side ataxia, left side does more work. I’ll be more mindful next time! I don’t know how you keep your legs from bobbing about during hundreds with the band - maybe I had my band too far down my shin toward my feet😅🥴 again, I’ll be more mindful, probably do better next time! Always a bit awkward, trying to get band tightness, hand positioning right! Thanks for a great session, definitely one to repeat 🦵🏻💪🏻🧡💛💚🩵💙💜have a lovely weekend!

Hi Sue, you did a great job on this one. A little tip on the hundred , you need to focus on resisting the band withthe legs, it's a great mind/body control movement when you use the band, the lower abdominals will alos help you stabilise that lower body position. Keep up the great work, you are doing so well! ❤️
