I’m 58 & raised 2 kids on my own. I still don’t feel like a grown-up. I think feeling young is truly a state-of-mind. Hopefully you will never grow out of it ❤ Came here for the plants. Stayed for the stories. I’m disabled now due to Long Covid, and taking care of my plants has really helped to get through the past 3 1/2 years. Thank you for being part of it.

I love this kind of video. It's really relatable. I thought I was the only one who had several conversations going at once. 😆 I love seeing more of your personality showing through in your videos. Feels like we're just friends hanging out. Super chill. Plant care can be crazy. This is the norm for most of us plant parents. It's messy and can be challenging at times, but it's super fun and rewarding! Keep up the great videos!!🧽🧽🪴🪴

Nice one Jan! Such an informative and fun time watching you look after your plants. I don't think you need to doubt your thought process and how you talk about everything you're doing in combination with your life experiences. It's organic and transparent and feels like we're just hanging out with you in your house! Which in IMO is better than the over the top, high energy KZfaqr vibe anyway. Just keep being you and we'll keep watching King 👑🌱

Been sitting here watching and making my own little grow poles, to move my Dubia cuttings onto them. Lovely having the company while doing plant chores :) So sorry about Brad's brother. We lost our cat to traffic. Our two cats now live indoors. They enjoy the views and fresh air on the balcony. Also actually better for our environment here in NZ.

Hold the phone--you've only been doing this for a year and have 140k followers?? That's amazing. I am surprised by the negativity I see surrounding growing plants. It's not a competition, or a debate stage to be "right" about everything. I only follow three KZfaq channels for plants, and you all share the same spirit of sharing knowledge with the humility that, gasp, a different way may work just as well or better for someone else in their care and conditions, etc.

Even though I've seen you pick up a plant by the pole directly after repotting several times now, my mind still does not believe it lol. I still wait a few months after repotting to do so. Also, I love getting to know my favorite plant creators. I'm not interested in like 'lifestyle' content, but I really appreciate it when a youtuber sprinkles in the character and personality by bringing in personal moments. Like when you and AJ hang out, you really get to see your personality, and I absolutely love it! so keep up the good work, and being flexible with the kind of content you create. We are here for it!

Thanks to you I ventured into rarities and made mosspoles. The Verrucosum loves it and grows insanely beautiful since it is allowed to climb. Keep up the good work. Greetings from Germany! Karo German Version: Ich mag dieses Video so sehr! Danke dir. Absolutely let myself get lost in this latest episode...your plants make a fantasy world real..loved it all. Brad is a good helper in many ways, keeping you focused while getting his attention...wonderful. The rain is essential for everything to thrive even more...you could actually see them "revive" after a good soaking. Up here in northern Tuscany, at this time of the year, we have to be extra careful of intense sun sneaking up and burning tender house plants left out on the patio...shade one minute, then sun the next. I water them down weekly outside, and they all love it. Please tell us you sat down at the end of all that work, poured yourself a glass of something with bubbles, and enjoyed the hard-won results! Can't wait for the next chapter!

Cheers 🍻 Wasn't going to ask questions, but where's your yam? Has it gone dormant, or is it gone? Also, if you're seriously thinking about your career, you could consider upping your KZfaq presence. Lots of people sell merch, have memberships, live streams with superchats etc. 140k followers in a year is pretty good going! And you never ask anything of us. Some presenters have knowledge, some have editing skills, some have presentation skills and some have personality. You have it all, and that's why we love you. 😊 you could even do a TV show better than many I see.

if you have tall moss poles that are unstable up pot into a larger pot but use an empty plastic pot in the middle with gravel around it to make a sturdy base. Using the gravel around an empty pot in the middle will still allow you to check roots easily but maintain the void for your actual pot it slip into.

Hardworking! Don’t forget to cover your smart tv when lighting the variegated monstera, that intense light can damage pixels.

🧽 This video was quite informative and I took comfort in seeing you provide same care I give my plants too. My window to enjoy the outdoors more has also lessened when caring for plants too. I am now making effort to assess if I have the right number of plants, for now at least, and how to lessen time spent on their care, i.e, using ceramic pots instead of terracotta when possible.

Having an outdoor space definitely made things easier & thus faster for me :) can't wait for spring/summer when I'll put more plants outside :)

When I first started watching you, i was like: "is this a german accent? No i think that is just how they speak in Australia" And then i was so surprised that you are acutally from Germany.

Very Interesting! I watched the video till the end and I enjoyed your stories and tips too. I too cut off any leaves, etc. that I do not like. My plants seem to like it too. This seemed to be a major kind of deep cleaning & reorganizing of everything and a lot of work too with so many plants but also enjoyable.

Recently,I started using tree fern fibre from new zealand in my moss poles. I'm in the states and its super hot/humid in my region. I think the fibre is great for aeration. Keep us updated on the tree fern fibre and perlite. I may try that with my pothos. I felt like this today with house cleaning 🧽.
