This is what happened when I used a 300 watt portable power station to cook all of my meals for a full day. I used my Dash Mini Rice Cooker, my Hot Logic Mini, and my Itaki Pro Electric Lunch Box. 300 Watt Portable Power Stations on Amazon - amzn.to/3M4yiy3.

You don't need a solar oven or any special solar appliances to cook with solar energy. Solar Cooking is perfectly possible by using a portable power bank, or portable power station, of at least 300 watts along with small or mini appliances that function within the wattage of the power bank. Charge the power station with solar panels and then use the solar energy that is stored in the portable power bank to cook your food. It's the easiest and most convenient method of solar cooking ever!

You dont get the whole amount of watt hours from a AC outlet on a power bank like this due to its losing some to its inverter. I think its something like 85% so if you had a 1000 watt hour bank it would give you 850 watts . Ive got 3 banks, one is 1030 wh, one is 500wh and one is 388wh but none of them will allow that whole capacity on the inverter. The best way is to use them on their 12 volt outlets if you can as they then dont have to convert the DC to AC

Yeah I knew they weren’t exact. Which 1030 wh bank do you have? Do you like it?

Many have less capacity on DC somehow. I`ve seen this in tests. With lithium batteries the BMS only allows about 90% of the full capacity to be used to prevent damage by over discharge/charge. Sellers should list the actual real world output but they don`t.

I definitely agree with having more than one portable power stations. I like to rotate - solar charge one while using the other. Also cloud free days are not plentiful here in Ohio. I wonder how many watts those immersible hand held water heaters use? They boil water in a cup extremely fast. They were quite popular back in the 60's & 70's before microwaves emerged.

Hear in Australia, we use 240 volts. So I am ordering my appliances from eu/china/india as they use the same voltage. I use an 300 watt 450 ml electrict cup made by deema from china. Boils water in about 10 minites. I would say around I would say less time than some other products. Some of the products do not have an off/on switch so i use an power board with switchs to turn on and off the unit i am using. Gerard.

Patricia, A Road Pro type small 120 watt 12 volt immersion water heater works with 10 amp cigarette lighter ports on my solar power stations to heat water in cups. Very inexpensive too. But you can get AC ones too. I got a 600 watt AC bucket water heater so I can heat bathing water off grid or wash a few clothes in a bucket. I plan to try more of the AC immersion heaters under 600 watts. I got the 600 watt one because I have two Bluetti EB70s that are rated at 700 watts. If I can find a 200 watt AC water heater that would be great to use with my tiny power stations. I bought two 12 volt 100 watt mini rice cookers that work well with the cig ports of my small power stations. It uses 25% of the battery in my tiny Golabs R300 to cook rice. Before cooking rice when camping heat the water in a pot over a fire to greatly reduce cooking times. Also go ahead an unplug the cooker and allow the heat to finish cooking the rice to save your battery charge. This may require experimenting over time to get it perfect. The colder the water when you start the longer cooking will take. I just ordered two Dash griddles and their waffle maker and the grill version. I had ordered the griddle and a 550 watt sandwich maker then saw a package of three Dash cookers for the price of less than two and ordered those. I have seven 250-300 watt power stations, two cheap 500 watt ones, two 700w Bluetti EB70s, and a very large 300 ah Ampere Time LiFeP04 in my camper I live in. I got great deals on all of these so I stocked up. Having emergency solar power is a massive blessing and I was so lucky to be able to get what I have on a small fixed income. My stimulus checks and an insurance check went straight to prepping supplies.

@@patriciaribaric3409 I used one of my Bluetti EB70s during the freezing storm because the lights kept flickering in the 35 mph winds and it was 11 degrees here in Louisiana. I accidentally put the blanket on medium high instead of the second setting but still had 40% of my battery charge after sleeping. My sister ridiculed me and repeatedly called me crazy and dumb for two years for buying solar batteries but acts surprised each time I tell her how I`m using them. She saw me power a TV with one, and I don`t own a TV, so in her limited brain I had bought "TV batteries." We were hit by two hurricanes here in 2020 and had long power outages and lost all the food in the freezers and fridge when I was staying with her until the people moved off this rural lot I now live on, and she and my nosy nephew would go as far as opening my packages to find out what I was buying so they could call me names. They nearly drove me to a nervous breakdown. Neither of them are prepared for anything whatsoever. Well, I`ll have electricity the next time the power fails, even for my small air conditioner, and they can keep on whining to themselves about it while their food ruins again.

@@baneverything5580 My mom is 96 years old, lives a mile from me, and every time there is an outage my power staions keep her fridge, freezer, and mine all get saved by my power stations. I live with a 10 year old grandson, so I also have "tv batteries" lol.

@@Tracywhited2 Set up a price tracking wish list on Amz. I literally have dozens of these for different categories of products, including different types of clothing, boots, electronics, etc. The prices can vary wildly almost daily. I periodically check my lists and log/date the latest price. Good to also do this leading up to big holiday sale days as well to get a sense. You will find holiday pricing, Prime Day, blk Fri + cyber mon don't necessarily offer you the best deal. Doing this will give you an idea of the best/lowest consistent price to trigger a buy. I had a really nice coat I was tracking that consistently fluctuated btw ~150 to ~230. One day it suddenly went down to 40 bucks and I snapped it up! I have several instances where this has happened. I'm on a budget too so can totally relate. This retail knowledge also provides saved data you can use to check other sites or physical stores when you're ready to buy. Or if you happen to come across an item on clearance, yard sale, or thrift store in good condition and they have the exact same item at an incredible price. One of the other 'tricks', if you will, is to not just save and track a product or piece of clothing in one color. Select and save all the colors you can reasonably live with to lists. Sometimes just a certain color goes on super-sale. When they do and you try to buy more than one, Amz in particular limits you to buying 4 units of things at a time when they drop down in $ big time. But you can just place another order that garners the free delivery separately. Name brand winter boots and work boots fluctuate in price like crazy, I've noticed. Certain things barely move. Other things you will notice only move during specific holiday sale periods or seasons. I've been doing this for over 5 years and after awhile you start to see patterns.
