We need to see Filip against some decent opponents, he has only fought bums or known journeymen (Kevin Johnston now counts as a journeyman) Filip's next opponent is Marko Radonjic who has complied a 22-0 record with 22 KOs fighting complete non-entities, so (I have not seen Marko fight) I am concerned it is a mismatch. There are a few fighters I would like to see Filip fight in the near future: Takam would be an excellent test, Otto Wallin is another. For a slight step before either of those 2 maybe Helenius or Christain Hammer

@@minimalface Babic is a small heavyweight, almost a cruiser, has had only 8 or 9 fights and is a brawler. I cannot see him progressing beyond Euro level. Helenius & Hammer are already solid Euro level but no more than that. Takam counts as a gatekeeper to true world level and Wallin is definitely already in the fringes of world top 10 and at 24 still young and hungry but definitely beatable. I can see Filip fighting Joyce or DDD but not in the near future. Both of those fighters are working their way towards a world title challenge and Filip is not part of the roadmap to that. But in a couple of years and 5 fights time it could be.

@@mrquick6775 In the amateurs, Filip Hrgović beat three Cubans by stoppage, and two of those three have a score of 7-1 against Frank Sanchez. I assume you recently watched the Jared Anderson vs. Charles Martin match. And before this Hrgovic match, Martin boxed against Corbio and beat him in 8 rounds, because the referee disqualified Corbio, and Hrgovic knocked him out in the first round. In the match against Zhang, Hrgović sent and threw more punches than Anderson and Martin combined in the last match.

Sad to see Corbin dive because he honestly didn't look terrible. Heavyweight is pretty thin talent-wise so Corbin probably could have found a lesser (international, silver) belt for himself with the multitude that are available and held by absolute cans. It's hard to get those fights if you're taking dives though.

@@samoday2992 Try a little context. First fight in the US for Hrgovic in front of American viewers. Corbin was a sparring partner for Anthony Joshua at this time and can clearly take a punch having gone the distance with Charles Martin. First clean shot and a 15-1 fighter can't even make a 10 count to try to survive out the round? He even did the classic "back of the head" gesture that most boxers use when they take a dive but need to save face.

Might have been inevitable but it looks like a stinker of a stoppage. Corbin ducked right, yes, but Filip held his head there with his forearm and elbow, then chopped him behind the ear. That's what Corbin was complaining about, in response to which the referee stopped the bout. By the way, is the pronounciation Her-GO-vitch or HERR-go-vitch?

Filip Hrgović is certainly the best boxer in the world and all the obstructions done by Antony Joschua and other noxists from the top ten in the world are just proof of their fear of facing him in the ring because he literally kills his opponents and does not receive a single blow. Joschua be a man don't hide and take third-rate opponents. The Mexican who knocked you out with Hrgović would not last even two rounds. You and your promoters are a disgrace to the world of bo

@@mr.shickadance4112 Because all notable fighters are afraid of Hrgović and don't have the courage to enter the ring with him and fight - Everyone is afraid of him Joschua persuaded Hunter to give up the match just because Hrgović would become a challenger for the world title. So much for the courage of your boxers. Neither would last 3 rounds.
