Wild Wonderful Off-Grid

3 жыл бұрын

Today we are taking you on a tour of our self built A-Frame. What makes our home so special is it was built from the ground up by the two of us. Although we had no prior home building experience, we put in the hard work to make our dream of building our own home a reality. Come tour our 73 acres and the interior of our off grid home in West Virginia.
Shop Our Apparel: www.bunkerbranding.com/pages/...
We are a couple who are building our own home from the ground up in the mountains of West Virginia. After living near the city our entire lives we finally decided to sell it all, pack up our 3 kids and live in an RV on our 73 acres while building our own debt free, off-grid house and learning to live a more self-reliant life.
Our house build is documented entirely on our main channel "Wild Wonderful Off-Grid" and our family life vlogs can be found on our secondary channel "Wild Wonderful After Show"

Your children are so very lucky to be able to experience all of this. I lost my Father at only 20 to a sudden heart attack, but I'm so lucky that he taught my brothers and I so much about life... how to build things, how to treat people- live by the "Golden Rule," and how to love. My parents were married for 33 years before he passed, and my Mother still hasn't even been on a single date in almost 20 years (they were HS Sweethearts). So many children are stuck on their computers/electronics for most days... Your children are so lucky to be able to have parents like you guys and the experiences and life lessons you guys are teaching/showing them. Great job you guys! You are really incredible people. Keep up the uhhhmazing work! Your kids will thank you someday (if they haven't already). Experiences and hardwork are priceless, and by far two of the most important things you can teach your children (besides how to love & treat one another). Can't wait to see the rest of your build. Guys I just wanna say how much I appreciate you. When I'm having a blah day, missing my mom or not feeling like going to work, I think of you and your effort, and how far you've come. Definitely inspiring for sure, thank you for that. 🙂 Matt- Massachusetts

I have been with y'all for some time now but have not seen the full tour. Beautiful home made with blood, sweat and tears but mostly love. It is apparent throughout all of your videos even during stressful times. Sometime I will have to go back to the very beginning and fill in the blanks. God bless y'all.

I don't normally comment on KZfaq videos but I have watched the building of your home and life with curiosity, interest and over time positive envy. I love the outcome, you family and your appreciation for what you have achieved. I didn't think it would happen but I look for the weekly updates. I am fascinated to see the next stages in the development of your home (and indeed lives).

I am short of words to describe how I admire the two of you with the accomplished the build of your new home the past 3 years. Jos has surpassed himself as a house builder and Erin had her input as a devoted mother and a loyal helping hand for Jos. Also she certainly deserves her stripes. I can only admire you both. And also about the fact that you have three very lovely children, who have also done their best in their own way to adapt all this time as Jos and Erin together were working on the house. And the animals.... I love all of them. You both have a wonderful family. I look forward to the new video every week. God bless you both and your children. Greetings from the Netherland. ❤️🙏‍‍😉

I understand how things takes time to put things together. Yes you some times have to get away while building; it helps you look at what you had done which helps you to be motivated to keep pushing on. Congratulations 🎈 on building your new home 🏠.

I can not believe you did this in three years, you have achieved so much in those three years and I have enjoyed following you both and your family through this adventure and look forward to the second phase. You have built so much. Building a home, raising animals and then installing a solar system. Josh and Erin you both are incredible craftsmen, Josh can just about do anything. I cherish your banter, jokes and the inter action you have with your children and animals. I love your other channel as well. You should feel proud of what you have achieved, it is a beautiful home, full of love and happiness. Your children are having a lovely carefree wonderful life. Thank you for sharing. To the second phase. Have a great day.

My uncle and his wife built their own home years ago, and I used to wonder how they managed to do it. Out of pure necessity, I've learned over the years how to do most of my own work, and my wife can do some amazing things with tile and other construction projects. We bought an old mountain cottage with great old bones, but needing a complete remodel. We've spent 7 years remodeling every room down to the bare wall and floor joists (replacing most of those floor joists), and doing all of the work ourselves. From electrical, plumbing, tile work and everything in between. We're proud of the results we were able to achieve. There isn't any better feeling than knowing that everything you see around you is a product of your own hands and hard work. And when the work is completed, knowing it's paid for is the best feeling of all.

One can only say, you have done a great job, it is well done from day 1, life is a learning process, and the children are also learning as well by your example, and as the song says the only way is up, so i feel you will get things done and the children will proceed in life by their parents example.

This by far has been the best series of video’s KZfaq has to offer. A true American family building their dream home. I definitely feel I need to call out each and every builder on tv. This family provides wholesome entertainment you can feel and be apart of. Keep up the great work Josh and Erin. You definitely have the respect of many KZfaqr’s. I wish we could do something in return for your family to help with the build. God Bless You All.
