May 10, 2022 we not only hit our 4 year anniversary of moving to this property but we also hit 1 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS on our KZfaq Channel!
4 years ago we sold everything we owned except our tools and our rv, moved out to 73 acres of raw land in West Virginia and embarked on the journey of a lifetime. As husband and wife, we built our home from the ground up over the past 4 years.
We started out documenting our journey with the intention to share with our family and for our kids to be able to look back on when they were older. Little did we know, you all would welcome us into your homes week after week. You've laughed with us, cried with us, encouraged us, and cheered us on as we poured our blood, sweat and tears into building a home for our family.
Thank you so much for being a part of our story and for making such a huge difference in our lives!
This is our timelapse showing the last 4 years of our build, our family and the road to 1 million subscribers!
Shop Our Apparel: www.bunkerbranding.com/pages/...
• TIMELAPSE- Couple Buil...
We are a couple who are building our own home from the ground up in the mountains of West Virginia. After living near the city our entire lives we finally decided to sell it all, pack up our 3 kids and live in an RV on our 73 acres while building our own debt free, off-grid house and learning to live a more self-reliant life.
Our house build is documented entirely on our main channel "Wild Wonderful Off-Grid" and our family life vlogs can be found on our secondary channel "Wild Wonderful After Show"

In late 2018 I suffered a brain injury incident and kinda lost a lot of things, but as I recovered I found this little family taking on a huge project and I became involved in their day to day struggles and triumphs. Following along as I recovered and became normal again gave me one more thing to be happy about. You guys are a part of my life now and I will always be here. ❤️

No doubt they will be lost for a time without Chuck's expert management keeping the project on track. My guess is they'll have to quickly promote Frankie to fill the position - to avoid having the whole project just go completely off the rails. Hahahaha!

RIP Chuck, Thank you for sharing your amazing family home build with us, as well as your wonderful family, i've been with you from the start so it's amazing to see how much and how quickly your kids have grown, not to mentions the fantastic looking home and how nostalgic it was to see a recap of the whole build. Thanks again WWOG.

Josh and Erin, I am very sorry to have just now learned of the passing of Chuck. I have been following you guys for quite some time, and I have noticed that Chuck wasn't appearing in your videos much recently. I guess his passing was a recent thing. He reminded me of the Dachshund my former father in law had when he passed. She weighed 28 pounds when we took her in, and in the three or so years we had her, we got her down to about 17 pounds with diet changes and exercise. It was amazing to watch her adapt and integrate with our "pack" of dogs. She was an entirely different dog by the time we lost her, and I believed she loved every minute of it. Very rewarding. Owning animals as you do, and pets as most of us do, is a very rewarding thing, and very hard to accept when the time is over. I hope the other two little guys can take over for Chuck and help you get over the loss of one great little fella. Take care.

In Australia decades ago farmers used to live in tin sheds whilst building up not just a house but also the farm itself. My own parents did this too. Hot water was just a large copper barrel over a fire, cooking was done using a wood stove, lighting was from a 32v pedal generator into a battery which would only 2 or 3 light globes. When Mum was pregnant with me and I was due she would be driving a tractor to try and make me come, When I finally did arrive I was [overcooked] as in being 3 weeks overdue. :D You guys have done a great job in building a home and video-doco'ing it so that in decades time you and the family will look back on the video's with pride and saying{We DID THIS}

My favourite ‘second family’ for 4 years! I missed the first couple of uploads but dove in and your videos have been a part of our weekly ritual ever since. We feel we have grown with you and your beautiful family, through your ups and downs, injuries, hiccups and successes. I have laughed along the way, been stressed with you along the way, been proud of you along your journey and sat in wonder at your heartwarming partnership, patience, witty banter and love you have for each other and your precious family. I felt the pain of your loss of your ‘good boy’ from 15,000kms away in Australia today and like we have before, we cried with you along the way again today. We are so sorry for your loss. RIP in Doggy Heaven Chuck, your supervision on the A frame build was beautiful to watch. Erin and Josh you guys inspire, it is amazing to watch your journey that I know was not easy but worth it. God bless you and your amazing children and looking forward to whatever comes next. Happy 1M guys. You definitely deserve it.

I came for the solar project, but I stayed for the incredible beauty: beautiful family, beautiful couple, beautiful home, lovely views of your pastoral location, wonderfully told stories, fantastic videography and editing. It's no wonder you've become my favorite channel. Congrats on a huge and well-earned milestone.

You took the words right out of my mouth. Solar project was how I found this island of sanity, humor and hope in this ever increasingly crazy world. Their story is a reminder of how it CAN be done.

So sorry to hear that Chucky has passed. Remember all dogs go to heaven. I loved watching this recap of your adventure. Really special to watch your kids grow up in front of us. I started watching you channel when you were laying out the footers and your daughter was in Erin's backpack. Keep up the great work and I look forward to watching the new build.

So sorry to hear about Chuck. He was a big part of the family and the build. I know he will be missed. Take care and take the time to grieve - every person is different and though they say farm kids adapt better to the loss of a pet, this isn't always the way for adults. I am grateful that you took such care of him and that he had a wonderful life with you all. Many blessings.
