A big problem with Canada Soccer is they have no clue what they are doing and very little innovation. With the CPL a lot of what they have done is taken ideas that have failed from other countries. The spring/fall season, CSB, training models and timeframes from Europe. For instance in my province of Manitoba for youth soccer they have adapted a season that runs on the European calendar and even take a month off in the summer, which is just ludicrous to take a month off with only a 4-5 month spring, summer, fall climate.

Kevin, what is your long term goal for youth soccer development because the backbone of all the best soccer nations who are winning trophies and also still performing , they have a great youth development in place for their under 17, under 20 and 23 football teams so that in future Canadian soccer will not have to look for players to switch their nationalities to play for the nation. Kevin, what plans will you put in place for the Canadian league ,will you have other system in place by scouting young talents in every communities so they can be groomed to make the Canadian league more attractive

So the better the teams do the worse it is for Canada Soccer finances. Yikes.
