Hey y'all!
Sorry for the delay in posting but I have been absolutely slammed with school and work. Here's the culmination of where the truck is at so far.
This video covers just about everything from picking up the motor in its long-block configuration to it's first test fire. I tried to skip as little as possible, so the video should be well suited to anyone who hasn't done any serious motor work but would like to learn more.

Good job bud, i can see you learned a lot during this. Thats the way to get er done man! Always gives you a good feeling when it fires off for the first time and you see the oil pressure come up. gets rid of all the nervous butterflys for sure.

I feel confident after watching your video man, I’m going to tackle one in the coming month just to see how it is, done several 99-07 and 07-13’s and its mostly plug and play with those.

Nice job but I wouldn't used that kit you should've kept the alternator in the original position and got an AC bracket and used in R4 Compressor that way you could have kept and used the stock hoses for the ac as I'm given in 1988 C2500 Chevy I just put a short video of my engine running the other day

Valve covers are switched, oil port goes on the passenger side (not sure if switched down the line

Question for you. It runs off the Holley EFI but does that go to the OEM cluster as well? I’m curious about the gmt400 pcm too for example to bleed the brakes you need to run the pcm process for the abs module. I’m just trying to figure out if I do this, how much other shit I gotta do like swapping out my brake system, etc. if I can’t use the old pcm.

1:40:20 It's hydraulic. They will all loose pressure.

This is my first video and I'm 7 minutes in. I'm looking at doing a 6.0L transplant in my 97 Sub. What engine is that? What trans will you be running? I'm sure the answers are in your videos...somewhere....

Yep, 6.0L LQ4 from a ‘04 2500HD. I pulled the engine/trans together, so i knew they’d fit up. I would dig a little more into ensuring that your trains will match up with whatever you get. I remember reading something about output shaft / flexplates changing over the years

An eze-out would have easily removed the remainder of the dipstick tube.

That would've probably been a good idea too. I did try a drill bit/tap but I think my biggest concern was shavings getting inside the pan.

He should’ve of put ARP head studs I don’t think 600hp

I agree, I wanted ARP but they were out of stock during COVID. Also, the truck put out 307hp at the wheel on Dyno so motor is probably much closer to 400hp.
