I need 2 of the 118 ft. I know I can not add more lights to the connection but can I add the 2 sets on the app so that they work together?

Yes, you would use the "Group" function in the app. This will allow them to work together on whichever scene you select.

So the total lighted length is around 45ft?

Yes, 48 feet for the small set and 96 for the large set.
