Talking with friends many have not seen gains from losses of their investments the last few years. It’s discouraging but we just keep plugging away . I’m hoping the real estate market will normalize soon .. High housing costs, high interest, high insurance cost , high taxes is surely hurting the economy. Great video Clark & Team .

Public libraries are great! Free movies, TV shows, and music CDs. I like my Subaru for the All-Wheel Drive. I hear the US Postal system is better than in Canada and some European countries.

I started investing when I was in my mid to late twenties and I didn't get anywhere near the returns that Clark is talking about but I'm still glad I did it I would like to hear information about how to create a decent retirement without having a million dollars saved!

Kudos to you for starting your savings in your 20's 👏👏👏Unfortunately, unexpected life events like the pandemic and 911 negatively affected our returns, but as you said, it is still better to have than not. You may have to supplement your retirement savings with a part-time job that you enjoy for a while. Otherwise, here are ways to stretch your dollars in retirement: clark.com/personal-finance-credit/investing-retirement/ways-to-save-money-in-retirement/ Hope this helps! 💚

Retail theft is exploding due to 2 things; 1 online platforms doing 0 vetting of their sellers while being complicit in the profiteering and 2 retailers that play Kabooki theater when it comes to security while not prosecuting the few that are even caught. Its a joke and we all pay the price for theftflation.

When should you start saving for your children's retirement?
@virginiamoss7045
@virginiamoss7045 Ай бұрын
Very good question! I am trying to preserve the principle of my own retirement so that I can pass it on to my child for their retirement since they are not able to save for retirement (low wage earner; not a living wage earner). That means living very frugally, as they currently live, in order to make that happen. However, if I ever need assisted living or nursing home, all that will be gone and their Social Security will be minimal. Their future isn't very rosy.
@Clark
@Clark Ай бұрын
When your children start working, they can start saving for their own retirement. They cannot have money in a retirement account until they have earned income. But we wouldn't recommend saving for a child's retirement anyway. Are you maxing out all of the retirement accounts available to you? If you have access to an HSA, are you maxing it out as well? The best financial gift you can give your children is allowing them to save all they can for their own retirement because they don't have to support you in your retirement. We do recommend saving for your children's education as early as possible with a 529 Plan, ONLY if you are maxing out your own retirement accounts first. The good thing about 529 Plans is that if your children decide not to go to college, the money can rollover into a Roth IRA retirement account for them (up to $35K with terms & conditions). A 529 Plan is another great gift to them because if their money isn't tied up repaying student loan debt, they'll have more money to fund their own retirement accounts. Check out our 529 Guide here to get started: clark.com/personal-finance-credit/investing-retirement/529-plan/ Hope this is helpful! 💚

Don’t. But make sure you set up who gets the your money when you die at your financial service provider for 401k, 403b, IRAs, and also your taxable account as a “TOD” account. This skips probate court.

Toyota is lying on safety tests. If Honda and Toyota are so great why don’t they have 100,000 mile warranty like Kia does.
@Clark
@Clark Ай бұрын
Good question about the warranty. 🤔 But we hear the validation of durability from our Toyota & Honda owning Clarkies, frequently. 🤷‍♂💚
@mongo2044
@mongo2044 Ай бұрын
Because Kia and Hyundai have to sell cars not as good as Honda, Toyota, Mazda. So the warranty is longer. If your product is as good as/are the top brands, no need for long warranties.

Regarding dentists, my issue is trust; there's no way to tell if what they are recommending is really necessary in order to make more money. It's kind of the same as a car mechanic or an appliance repairman or a lawyer or any number of service people. With doctors, I feel I can better gauge them, but there's always that doubt since they are paid by the procedure.

- Nobody hates carriers, it’s the leadership that stinks. But eh, Clark, the USPS has used bar codes on all mail for decades! - Fly into Minneapolis for ND. - I’ve seen resellers at all the thrift stores, carts full of books. Sports stuff too. Plus crazy prices at some thrifts! I had to stop going. Good stuff gone, crazy prices, I’m out. The resellers are a click too and make fun of non reseller customers. I think thrifts should BAN resellers!
