I also have a F150 Ecoboost and was able to find an off road front bumper specifically designed to accommodate a 12K Smittybilt Winch with American Trucks

The trails in the PNW are about the same as the trails in the SE, real narrow and tight at times. A friend of mine is using his F-150 to get into overlanding, I have a Gladiator. I downsized from a Ram Rebel, I am feeling the crunch on room, but love the ability to go a lot of tighter places.

I feel you on the full size overlanding limitations. We were out in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest a couple weeks ago and the forest roads were TIGHT. Thankfully we don't have a paint job we worry about. Thanks for posting!

3.5 eco here in the PNW as well. Looking at doing the full race intercooler to fit a winch behind the factory bumper. Mine is a 6.5 foot bed, makes it interesting for tight trails....

Seen your comment on The Road Chose Me & curiosity got the best of me & I'm glad it did & subed. Have you looked into the clear or black "Wrap"? Buffing might get a lot of pinstriping out & it seems a lot that can afford it is doing the wrap.
