Very well built. Just the right amount of weathering and applied straight forward without much mumbo jumbo. A lot of modellers have become blurred by thinking the more weathering effort you put in, the more artistic it is, and then lost their touch on whats realistic. Excellent work!

I've not long bought the hobby boss 1.18 scale frog don't know why I'll probably never build it! Ally kits are 1.35 but it just looked so good at the time an is one of my favourite choppers

Absolutely LOVE your work! I know it's been a long time ago. I would like to humbly offer an idea for scale detail and realism. Rotor blades are painted with a primer coat of CARC(?) Which is something like a pale neon green/yellow color. Airbrushing the outer tips of the leading edges with first the primer color, then an even smaller shot of silver will give the look of airborne debris eroding the paint from the leading edges of the rotors in flight. Not an original idea, I copied it from somewhere years ago, it can further the realism of the model. Your model already looks like it could fly away right now!

Quando for pintar peças de acrílico sugiro que você use tintas a base de Água! Por exemplo você nesse caso poderia ter usado uma tinta vitral Verde a base de Água , você evitaria que a pessa ficasse fosca 👍

Cute machine. What color do you use for olive drab? Did you use different for the man and helo? Myself I am thinking about using different colors, but can't decide which.

At 14.33, I think your horizontal stabilisers on the tail boom just forward of the tail rotor you may have installed upside down. Airfoil surfaces generate lift with a dorsal surface curved and the ventral surface flat (or slightly concave). To confirm my inferences, please ask a helicopter pilot you know. The police departments in large cities have such an aviator on their staff. Alternately, many television news broadcast companies generally have one, as well.

Well done. I must note, however, a mistake in the plans regarding the orientation of the seat side armor. The angled corner should be oriented to the lower forward position. Multiple pictures of vietnam-era hueys show proper orientation very clearly. Great work!

Has naybody noticed that there are parts missing on the rotor construction like two metal rods that go from the base of the main rotor system to the top like a big triangle? you can see it on all Hueys.

Modeling is no fun if you cling to historical evidence too much. stress only increases.

Details are important, I can't disagree with that. However, sometimes, less is more. I've spent many years building plastic scale models of us army helicopters. I served the army as 67V, 67N, 67Y and ultimately retired as 15T. The degree of scale (for myself at least) was always a compromise. I took up the hobby as an exercise in patience and meditation. I found this hobby very helpful towards those goals. Early, I could become stressed and would agonize over the tiniest minutiae to the point I trashed works in progress & lost sleep. I realized I was defeating the purpose. By lightening up, I rediscovered the joy in the hobby! To each his own.
