ACADEMY UH 1C Huey FROG Gunship Build Review

In this weeks video I'm going to be building and reviewing the 1/35 scale UH-1C Huey Frog model made by Academy hobby model kits.
Rather than show the whole build I'm just going to be pointing the parts of the model that need a bit of extra care in assembling and a few of the bits where the instructions go astray
All in all though other than a few stumbling blocks and decals that I'm not the biggest fan of the kit builds into a rather nice model of a Vietnam era Huey gun ship. These helicopters provided escort to the dust off and slick helicopters upon landing and supported the patrol boats as they looked for hostile activity in the Mekong delta. They where also known as heavy hogs

I've just started building this kit. I downloaded some more in depth instructions that I found online. The original instructions are so vague. Great work there mate. I might spend a bit of money on some photo etch for it. Cheers mate.

Yeah they are not the greatest at all in this kit, Just be careful not to back yourself into a corner with this kit it needs so much paint as you go. Tbh bit of photo etech would go a long way on this model. Glad you enjoyed the video or found it helpful.

Great build and video which was straight to the point..I like your style of showing the progress in stages as it seems clearer to follow..I’ve got a U.S.A.F Vietnam collection in 1/32 and it really needs a Huey in the mix,so thinking of this kit..Was hoping/wishing that someone like I.C.M would produce a series of 1/32 Huey’s..But with the Russians attacking them they’re got enough going on.! Thanks again, ah I know the pain of that when I saw the ICM crew box with the huey I thought yes we are going to get one!But yeah with all thats going on it might be some time yet, I built the revell kit in 1/32 its ok but needs some work, still makes an impressive model as long as you dont look at the figures or interior, or add the rocket things that it comes with
