Would be an interesting experiment. See if the press is giving as much of a push back once this other premier league club's pursuit for Greenwood gets real. Don't disagree but BBC is openly rooted in DEI which is based on ironically "characteristics outside one's control" in lieu if merit. The guy could have been absolute shit, but we will never know. When everyone can only point to one 30 goal season with a player like Rashford, you know his rep isn't built on continued success. Fine, 30 goal seasons are rare, but we're not saying "one of the most reliable goal scorers and performers in the last 5 years, in the league." He's had two 17 league goal seasons and then the rest are as good as any other mid table winger. He's completely sellable.

Personal opinion is if we're willing to sell greenwood to a PL team, we might as well just play them ourselves at his best He at least gets us some goals. Also, I find it crazy that we're willing to sell. Marcus rashford or Bruno considering they're the one of the few players that are performed well.

It's mad how on every video Marcus is mentioned they say "look what he's done for the club" like this is the first season we've been here watching him walk around the pitch like a kid that's been told he can't play as the striker, his goal scoring record is actually pretty bad he's had 3 good seasons in 9 years all of them on new manager bounce when his contract was abouts to end.

If we keep Rashford, he needs a contract change, maybe no longer a star player nut a first team player and a wage drop with incremental bonuses for goals and assists etc…. But he needs to show it on the field and not on social media. Greenwood, I’d be shocked if he comes back, I think the fans in England would make his life hell and that includes a faction of Utd fans.

The issue with the greenwood situation is the consistency. Antony was been accused of DA with no charges. I get it was more serious with greenwood and higher profile but the stance for the topic needs to be consistent.

Well with Manchester United there's nothing new. But with the season 23/24 almost coming to an end in over a month. Overall after 34 premier league and with a suprising FA Cup Final on the horizon against Man City later on the month. Players have been poor and making clown errors along with Erik ten Hag losing faith and saying things out of desperation but in truth come the 31st May 2024 there will be decisions made. But whatever happens there's games that a crunchy starting with Crystal Palace away next Monday at 8pm then followed with Arsenal home and then Newcastle home three days later end the season with Brighton away. That's tough games to end the season. This is the toughest end of the season how will Man Utd win because they have only won once after 90 minutes once in almost 2 months.

Off topic, agree that Lawrenson was rubbish, but people definitely have been denied entry into certain careers because they didn't meet DEI requirements. Andrew Gold is a great example of this (former Jewish documentarian & journalist for the BBC) and I have a friend whose an incredible music producer (has done production work for big UK artists, music for Samsung adverts etc) and ultimately had to turn a record deal down because the conditions of accepting was that they'd front his music with a DEI hire as it was better for their labels image. Obviously unless Lawenson as told that to his face or in as many words in an email somewhere then he should keept his trap shut, but yeah it does happen, and dismissing these conversations is equally as stupid imo

Rashford needs to go, he doesn't do it consistently enough to keep hold off. The issue is not many clubs will have him and can afford his wages. The story just makes it look like he doesn't have any suiters! If we are selling Greenwood to PL team the a loan would be better to test the water of fans reaction to him playing in England. From a footballing perspective keeping Greenwood is the best option.

Wrong Rash should go he don't Cross we need proper wingers that crossing is the first though not cut inside and shoot like selfish idiots, Antony, Rash, Gnacho and Amad but he seem to be less accountable. People take about our DNA well players with good crossing is a massive part of that , we have none at the club now... but remember Giggs, Becks, Sharpe, Ronny, Valencia, Nani, Park, Kanchelskis, even back to Best and Coppell. They all crossed the ball often and well ... in this team Dalot maybe Bruno prob our best both are average crossers and dont do it enough .

I think the worse we're doing - and more player sales we see, the more likely Greenwood will stay. If things improve, there will be a lot of short memories. I'd rather sell him abroad and hope to get £30m or so.

It's not abuse that rashford receives from United fans, let be honest, because he says that opinions and criticism of his poor performance this season is abuse, that doesn't make it so and there's no evidence of it. But there is evidence of abuse towards Antony, Bruno and McTominey and they're not crying constantly on social media, and Bruno and McTominey are outperforming rashford. Out literal substitute CM, McTominey, has more goals than rashford, our attacking left forward, and everyone on social media and fan channels slate him and call for him to be sold. Rashford has obvious mental health problems, but he shouldn't get to tells lies unchallenged when there's better performers at the club, getting worse treatment
