@@sachinpaul2111I won't lie - I would rather not get Europa even if we win the FA Cup, lol. In all seriousness, we need a season with just domestic games to allow for more rest and training...we need a recovery year almost to see if that stops our spat of continuous injuries; would also help a lot with bedding new philosophy and players... We could do with the Europa League money though if we go deep in it so maybe I want it now, lol

Europa cup/conference are an insane slog and a really unlikely path to a trophy - only 3 English teams have won the competition in a collective 20'years. Domestic game must always be the priority - even ahead of champs league (which is a super league in all by name)

Your right, think how valuable the Conference league is for our young players and fringe players that are not getting enough football. Football is about winning title's and the life span of a player is quite short. Playing away from home in Europe is a great experience.

It is easy to say it when chances are that we will finish there. No, I would not rather finish 8th. I want my team to finish as high as possible and that will never change. This is just a wild coping mechanism and is an indictment on how far we have fallen as a club.

On one hand i would think a year without any european football would be a blessing in terms of not having an over crammed fixture list but as a united side they should be competing on as many fronts as possible. Torn on this one.

Fergie retired because his wife’s sister died and he needed to spend more time with family. Simple as that. Also he kind of realized that there’s no way that we are keeping up with 115 FC by signing the likes of Obertan, Smalling and Hernandez while they signed Aguero and Silva. Sure he still won the title but it wasn’t going to be sustainable eventually
