It was a lot of fun filming this harvest chase in Washtenaw county, Michigan. Look for the tire that was in the field, fortunate that the farmer did not run over it. I noticed it after I was done filming and walking back to my car. I took it out of the field and handed it off to a farm hand.
What is the worst thing you ever hit in a field with your combine?

I usta farm along a curve in the highway and it was not unusual finding a full sized wheel cover that had popped off while rounding the curve and had rolled out into the field a few rows. One year I found someone’s spare tire! There’d been an accident near that point and I guess that’s how it got out of the trunk. During my 37 years of farming I found two dead bodies while doing field work in separate instances…….but that’s another story.

In wheat harvest 2021 I managed to get a fire extinguisher jammed under the header auger. Fortunately it didn't go off.

Start looking at the header at the 18:45 mark. He almost hit it on this pass, I ended up seeing it a short time later and took it out of the field. Thanks for watching.

12 row planter, 16 row head? Looks like pretty wet corn.

to have a 16 row head, I would guess planter must be at least 24 rows.

He should have moved inward 8 rows on the pass going down, and then harvested 8 rows against the road on the way back. That way the unload auger would be on the open side and he could have unloaded on the go coming back.

I went to the 18:30 mark and watched almost frame by frame and never saw a tire or anything else on the ground.

Same here. I watched it 5 time. Then again 4 time at the 28:00 minute mark when the tractor and grain cart passed the same spot. Nothing.

Start at the 18:46 mark and look at 10-11 o'clock. You will see it appear at 18:56 and last until 19:11. Thanks for watching.

@@charlesmetherd9136 Look at the 18:57 mark directly under the combine discharge boom. You will see the tire and wheel. The wheel is painted white but you can easily make it out.

I`m still looking for the tire in the field, and so far all I saw is a black dude @25:14 with what appear to be a hammer in his hand! ... And there he is again @29:35 but now he is carrying a long stick, bamboo, a periscope or I don`t know.

I finally found the tire and wheel. At the 18:57 mark look directly under the discharge boom and it is clearly visible.

That field might be 500 acres but it's not no 5,000.

Hey guys, I’ve got an idea 👍. Let’s subsidize crop production and insurance plans with taxpayer dollars in the interest of food security. Public… “ok I guess…”. The next year…. Hey, we need to subsidize ethanol so we can get rid of some of this grain 😡. Your tax dollars at work right there. Just a big political money suck 👎
