The reason I like cards like this is the emphasis on characters from the video game series. This is clearly Kofu's Veluza and Kofu's Crabominable, but they aren't labelled that way. Further, the combo only works if Kofu is in your deck. The combos need some minimum viability to be fun, but don't need to be game-breaking. I actually want to see PTCG to be bolder with decisions like this. Make Kofu good even without running his pokemon in the deck. Why not toss 2 to the bottom (clear fishing reference) and then draw 5? 6? Give us a reason to consider running this over Research. Professor's Research in perennial, but Kofu is not. Why make cards that are not as powerful (or interesting) as a perennial card? Irida is a great example of this. Irida is ran in decks that run RadGren as the ONLY water pokemon in the deck and it is still a viable supporter card. This combo could also have been that much better if Veluza's attack cost with 3 colorless instead of 4. If you prize one of your Kofu, the whole deck is going to struggle. Why not make Crabominable's attack cost 4 colorless (no water cost). Would it be so game-breaking to have Crabominbale attack without an energy cost? You still have to bump it to the bench and then back to the active to attack again. Getting four of the same supporter into your discard is already a barrier to getting attacks off. Cram needs 4 in the lost zone to attack T1 going second, which is easily achievable in many games. I don't see a clear path for Veluza getting to attack T1 going second here. They could have gone in so many fun directions with a fun supporter-gym leader combo like this, but it's just not quite there.
