So I coded a custom Tetris Mod in Minecraft, and it was hilarious...
This was incredibly fun, thank you so much to everyone joining, it was fantastic! I really hope you enjoy this one, it took a long time to make so I hope its good! Was awesome to do this difficulty/mod/minecraft video!

I have an idea, to make the 'up next' work, just make it so the random block spawns in the 'up next' grid, without the movement rules, and after the previous block can't move anymore, teleport the block in the 'up next' into the grid at the top, after which it can start to be able to be moved, followed by a new block spawning in the the 'up next' grid.

Quick advice- you could’ve just used the square root of the square block squared with the cobblestone, but if you’re feeling risky maybe the terracotta

No you should use the square root of circle and use the grass block

That *could* work, but it's really slow in 1.18 because the cube root of the amethyst converts the cobblestone into deepslate. It would be much easier divide the wool squared by lava.

As a coder, I understand fundy's happiness when he created the algorithm and showcased it (5:05), it probably took some time. And in 5:55, when he tested it. And when creating the rotation system (7:00). And in 9:08 when the game was done and 30 secs later when the line clear worked. Coding does take a lot of work, and the satisfaction you feel when the work is done, is priceless.

Suggesting square root is a terrible idea. Squares are 2D. What people need to suggest to you is cubic roots of cubic block cubed with the cobblestone. At least THAT would be 3D.

I remade Tetris as a text-based game in C# once and, speaking from experience, making the rotations accurate to the Tetris Guideline (yes, it's a real thing) is incredibly painful. Basically each piece has a center point to rotate around and checks five different positions for overlap, fitting into the first one it checks that does not have overlap. Hooray SRS!

5:13 the way i handled collisions was literally just making the entire board a grid, then each peace is just an array of four coordinates that get transformed. that way its super easy to look for collisions, I can just check the grid space where each part of the piece would be.

The rotating was a actually quite simple? All you need to do is use the easy equation rotation squared times the cube root of the block distance to the nearest other block minus how many times a person uses a 2 letter word in star wars plus the duration of toy story if you put it on 0.01x speed. Quite easy.
