Damn, I would do just about ANYTHING to see just one tiny prop used in the movie in person (one that can actually be spotted in the movie, of course, so I'd know it was legit). I'd do even more to own something from the set! (Which I came close to once on eBay, but the bidding got too high for me.)

When I first watched this movie, I thought it was hand drawn animation, when I found out it was stop motion and took 3 years to make, I was impressed, and I had an even bigger appreciation for the movie. It’s my all time favorite movie.

OMG!!! in order to fix a SINGLE continuity error, they'd have to REFILM a scene ALL OVER AGAIN?!?!?! I CANNOT imagine how painstaking that would be, ESPECIALLY in stop motion!!!!! I am FLABBERGASTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not an authority on CGI and cost differences but I guessing they didn't have good enough CGI in 1993. Guessing that now they could do it in CGI for about 1/100 the cost and you probably couldn't tell the difference in quality.
