I just finished Snabba Cash in Swedish with Swedish subtitles and they definitely used A LOT of slang which I didn’t always understand 😅 like Lur, Guss or Para ! Maybe that could make an interesting video ? Translating some expressions or words used in Swedish tv shows like Snabb Cash, Young Royals (can’t wait for season 2!!!), Bron, Bonus Familjen, Kärlek & Anarky… You explain everything so well ! I'm a Roxette fan and learned Swedish when I got a cassette of Gyllene Tider songs. That was before the internet so I had to take dictionary and try to translate them. It is crazy at Gyllene Tider & Per Gessle concerts in Swedish that there's so many Rox fans there from other countries all singing along in Swedish.

I am kinda surprised how hip hop and rap are taking over Sweden. I always knew Sweden thanks to all its metal bands. I guess times change hahaha.

My favorite band's latest album (in cauda venenum by Opeth), which came out in Swedish and English, actually was the reason why I became interested in the Swedish language and culture, so yeah :) Started learning Swedish by doing exactly what you are explaining. Listening to the Swedish version and using google translate to read the translation. I also adore Marie Fredriksson's solo album den ständiga resan.

I really enjoy learning swedish with music, i can recommend Hanna Ferm and Junie, who are both great Pop Artists where you can really sing along and understand the words they say!

I couldn’t find anything on popular songs in Swedish on KZfaq and I don’t know enough Swedish to look it up in the language so this video and the comments really helped me out! Jag har lärt mig svenska med musik, P4 och... med dig, Daniella, självklart! Jag älskar Agnetha Fältskog, Carola, Taube, Sanna Nielsen, Molly Sandén, Sven-Ingvars och Vikingarna. Dessutom gillar jag en grupp som heter Triakel, men deras bästa låtar är på jamska (min bästa vän kommer från Jämtland).

I still like Ace of Base. They were big in the early to mid 90’s. Only problem is they sing in English. However, I listen to Molly Sanden and Victor Leksel. And Bass Hunter a long time ago.

I listen to a lot of Miss Li and it's really cool cause she releases a lot of her songs in both a Swedish and English version so it's helpful in learning the meaning of the song and also interesting to see how she translates the lyrics

While ABBA records mostly in English, they do have some songs they've done in Swedish too. Mostly older ones.

Ever since I started learning Swedish, I've been listening to Lasse Berghagen quite a lot, as well as some Swedish rock (e.g. "En Dag" by Tommy Nilsson). And being a metalhead (with a lot of my favourite musicians being Swedish!), I really need to find some metal with Swedish lyrics.

I love ABBA, Benjamin Ingrosso and Ted Gärdestad (“Jag vill ha en egen måne”) … I love also punk and metal, for example Dia Psalma (“Hon får”) and Lillasyster - now at Melodifestivalen!- “Så jävla bra”. Ciao from Italy, you’re the best ☺️
