It’s because even though they’re charging you an arm and a leg, theres no way they’d pay to hire real chefs who really know what they’re doing.

On both days, you have 90 minutes blocked off for dinner before you're off rescuing Chewbacca or some shit, so I can understand logistically why the food is pre-prepared. I don't think I've ever gone to a sit-down restaurant with my family and been in and out in 90 minutes. If I'm paying $6000 for a vacation (which I wouldn't) I sleep in and take as long eating dinner as I damn well please.

There’s a particular dish I was hoping to see. In an episode of clone wars Padme and Anakin are served a spiced steak of the Nubian cattle and a purple fruit that looks almost identical to roasted dragonfruit. The idea of something left field like a tropical fruit and uncommon meat. I though of a bison or elk steak with a dragonfruit glaze served with roasted dragonfruit. Is it good? I have no clue! But it’s weird and similar to the show and I just want to try it.

The fashion show cheapen the experience because you get that sort of entertainment at a Star Wars convention that you paid $20 to get into. The more I hear about the hotel, the more it sounds like a failed Star Wars convention in a hotel.

I have literally traveled throughout most of Japan with my brother seeing the most amazing sights for two weeks (including riding on shinkansen bullet trains) for less than half the price of this bait-and-switch scam hotel. Nobody should spend $6k to spend a day and a half in a concrete bunker.

Disney Parks is on a trend on how they can cut costs and get the most amount of money in return. Covid was a blessing for them to implement it and keep it going. I went last September for 5 days and all the perks you got for staying on site are pretty much gone. Food was crap except for the higher priced restaurants. All the quick service food is overpriced. I'm retired military so I was able to get room and tickets discounts. If I had to pay full price for my trip it would have felt like a ripoff. Disney is trying to limit crowds by pricing out most people. They just want people with money in their parks now. Pricing wont deter the true diehard. I know people that take loans out every year to do Disney trips.

I’d be down with a cheaper themed hotel without the fancy experience is the thing. I think a lot of people on vacations would be. The making everything interactive, then not following through with making the interactions interesting was a huge mistake.

i did a post today 4.) I would cut the cost to 4k . 6K on special weekends where you will get a chance to meet Daisy and a few others who are dressed as their signature char . There is a dinner with them you get. they sit at a head table . that after dinner its cleared and they reenact some of teh best scenes of there role in star wars . maybe Daisy and Kylo have a battle on stage ( obviously they can not do the amazing force stuff like throw massive boulders at each other but they can recite dialogue and you can get your picture taken with them . that's professionally printed, a COA with Their signature that's put in a special folder that can act like a Photo Frame at home . There is a pic of the Star's ya saw so if you have Finn, Rey , Kylo there you get 3 Pictures in High Quality Photo paper with you and Them each Custom Signed and COA for each one. that would justify a 6 k price tag with dinner with teh stars like ya see at conventions . . I think even a chance to meet sam , portman hayden , liam and others would be kewl. maybe if they are up to date on the history . Obi and Anikin talking about that time Obi wan doesnt count as Anikin saving him . a dinner time with a few off teh page stories . There we where a bunch of Trade Federation droids we where out numbered and there was no way out . We had to get Jedi Master Yoda back .. . Sam and Liam doing a light saber battle . maybe have a Anikin and Padme she lived teh force was brought to balance talking about a future that could have been as they talk about how luke and leia now married have kids etc Now that would be worth teh 6 k

The Millennium Falcon ride is great. There are drawbacks though; if you aren’t in party of six, you get matched up with other guests. This means a shitty experience if the pilots are 5 year olds or wine moms who don’t try to fly and just film the screen on their phone. If in group of friends or like minded souls, it is a BLAST. I only have 2 complaints that Disney has the ability to address (they can’t help kid pilots and wine mom issues). First; the gunner position is dull compared to the others. Second; it needs more destinations for variety, like how Star Tours has different experiences each time you ride.

@@allthingsnerd.4484 I had nothing to do with the programming side or the actual ride. I was on the team that designed the physical parts of the ride. And I don't and haven't worked at disney so I can't do anything about those issues.

Can you imagine if this hotel got you early access to new Star Wars lands, and they were actually committed to opening new 'planets'? But noo, they wanna cheap out...this is HK Disneyland but worse

I was also thinking they should have done a jedi temple for kids w rock climbing and games and stuff. With an adults section which is themed more subtly but more like a nuts and bolts premium hotel.

Yes you do...there is a personality quiz style question you get on the data pad...which basically asks do you want to support the resistance the first order or be neutral with a leaning towards the good guy side (jedi) or neutral with a leaning towards the bad guy side (mercenary) it also gives the option to change your mind after the story starts.
