@@DustyCruz You are right about walking back the defund the police (bowel) movement. The problem is now the cops who could retire early took that option. Another group of cops quit and moved out to different states where they are appreciated. Applications for police academy are so low it's ridiculous. Even raising the signing bonuses and salaries doesn't bring the required numbers back. San Francisco is about 600 cops short.

So a restaurant trying to stay in business, added meat and dairy. The protesters are giving restaurants another reason to not open a vegan restaurant. I assume the owner was still happy to have vegan dishes on the menu. So they’re pursuing a lose-lose strategy. Also, I was walking my dogs along the wheat field when we came across a dead fawn, ran over & killed by one of the farm trucks, tractor, or combine. I watched an excellent documentary on wild Ireland, and the narrator mentioned how plowing & harvesting fields has decimated some ground nesting bird populations. They’re encouraging farmers to work fields starting from the center instead of outside in to give the animals and birds a chance to escape as their homes/nests are destroyed, instead of herding them to the center to be ran over & killed. Grazing cows, bison, sheep, goats, or keeping pigs doesn’t do that. Neither does taking a deer or elk.

Female half of the account. Just some funny trivia. Organic vegetables cannot qualify for that rating without meeting stringent standards for all stages from seed to store. A big one is that standard fertilizers are a chemical no-no. Most organic growers use shrimp meal as fertilizers. I’m vegan, but I don’t try to control people’s choices. Before the pandemic, I used to eat at the Culver City location regularly. The food was good and it was usually very busy. That location is no longer a sit down restaurant as of last year, so I have to assume business is down. It was slightly pricey, but I did enjoy supporting a vegan restaurant that had good gluten free options. It’s really hard for restaurants right now. Even in good times, if you own one, you are married to that business. The owner is probably doing it to survive. I make most of my meals at home now and I buy a lot of vegan food at the grocery store, so my demand is focused there. The protesters probably feel lied to, but they will make the most impact by supporting others businesses that naturally align with their values. I hadn’t heard about this change until I saw your video. It does feel like a bit of a loss, but I can go down the street to Shojin and spend even more money on a nice vegan meal.😂

Our species' niche is oprotunistic scavengers. We eat animals that have dead for a while. As for dairy, well, dairy cattle are products of selective breeding, thus they exist because we bred them into existence. Yes, you can feed more people with a square mile of corn than you can with livestock, HOWEVER, a good portion of corn is grown specifically as livestock feed. Kind of a shame given how good fresh corn on the cob tastes, especially with butter.

Vegans go out to eat at restaurants substantially less than the average person. If you don't believe me look at how many full vegan restaurants are in existence. Very few. In Seattle there are around 40 restaurants that are in Google that show up in a vegan restaurant search. However most are not full vegan and "offer" vegan options. That should tell you vegans don't patronize full vegan restaurants, which means the restaurateur can't make enough of a profit to stay in business.

Did anyone notice, they don't try this shiz " in a small town " ??? Glad i live in a town of less than 2,000 people . and i think they all have self defense type firearms ...

Oddly enough, they never try this in ethnic neighborhoods either. Imagine if they harrased a Mexican taqueria or a Lebanese kebab shop. The community would give them a good dose of "social justice".
