This is a quick run through of putting the Furitek FX-118 transmission together.
Different grease options I like to use:

Thank you for putting this out there. Working on the transmission was one of my worries for picking up a RC. Definitely looking forward to checking out more of what is on your channel.

I took out two unneeded transmission gears & pins & shimmed up the output shaft & counter rotation shaft where the gears sat inside the transmission on my FX118 Fury Wagon. They only add more rotational mass & not actually needed in all honesty. It does adds some punch being it can spool up faster with less weight to turn threw the drivetrain.

Get the bearing kit sooner than later. The bushings after 6-7 batteries run through develop slop. Most the bushings aren’t greased as well. Your ride will thank you for it

It's absolutely worth the time to run through the transmission and axles. It made a noticeable difference on my truck.

Probably silicone grease, it is a proper grease for metal gears in a plastic housing.

I cut the front off of the frame made a nice difference the servo no longer hits an allows it to flex more

That's next on my list. I'm just waiting for some cutting discs for my Dremel. I may even chop off the back while I'm at it. I have a feeling the rear axle may hit it with what I'm planning to do with the truck.

Good set of dykes cut it clean off for mine , I was considering doing the rear as well. Curious if the cayman pro body would work on these
