Have you heard of any one or have you tried the injora carbon frame
@grizzlyworksrcАй бұрын
I have one of the injora LCG frame rail sets with the angled skid. I've never tried thier stock replacement though. They feel a little flimsy compared to other chassis sets I've tried. If you're asking about fitment with this LCG set, it won't work. My LCG set only works with stock frame rails.

So on my gladiator the battery stretch was killing me so I kinda half floated my esc off the front of the mount and it’s much better plus little more weight forward

Your lcg kit is the most recent mod to my power wagon and by far the most effective. I'm starting to believe that this hard body and the scale accessories I've added just don't perform at a high level. I've done extensive weathering and rust on mine and it's beautiful, but maybe destined to be a shelf queen, Meus metal axles and all.
@grizzlyworksrc4 ай бұрын
I'm glad it's working out for you. I personally feel like the Power Wagon is more of a trail truck than a rock crawler. It also makes for a great tow rig when paired with the Axial trailer.
@Sunsh1ne5324 ай бұрын
I just installed this kit on my gladiator only to realize that my battery cable doesn’t reach anymore. Any recommendations on how to make it work?
@grizzlyworksrc4 ай бұрын
There could be a couple things going on. The V3 has 2 rear tray positions for the rear of the Gladiator or Power Wagon. Check to make sure you have it as far forward as possible. Another possibility is if you have more than one truck, you may not be using the battery that came with the Gladiator. Before Axial went to the Spektrum electronics, the Gladiator battery had longer battery leads than the other trucks. The last thing I can think of is yyou may ahve the components positioned in the wrong orientation. The ESC needs to have the battery input toward the front of the truck and the battery needs to have the + and - leads on the top right side fo the truck. If you go to 12:55 and 16:00 in the video you can see the correct orientation. Please let me know if that helps. If not, message me on either Instagram or Etsy and I'll help work through everything with you.

I took out two unneeded transmission gears & pins & shimmed up the output shaft & counter rotation shaft where the gears sat inside the transmission on my FX118 Fury Wagon. They only add more rotational mass & not actually needed in all honesty. It does adds some punch being it can spool up faster with less weight to turn threw the drivetrain.

I just installed the v1 kit on my stock bronco. It’s a great, high quality kit! I’m having trouble with the top of the rear shocks hitting the frame rails. I mounted them onto the frame rail and they work fine. If I use any of the other shock mounting positions the top of the shock contacts the frame rail. Perhaps I’m doing something wrong? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Layed my shocks all the way on the upper holes, have about 80mm of flex now. had to trim the servo wings down so the servo does nor hit the rails
@grizzlyworksrc6 ай бұрын
Nice. I ended up just trimming the frame rails. I had no plans to run bumpers so the bumper mounts were completely removed. Saved a few grams and there is a ton of room for flex.
@brendankohlheim73726 ай бұрын
would this fit the new power wagon.

Yes it does. It even clears the interior. There is just some very minor trimming required on the inner fender to have access to all shock mounting options.

Which is better to buy fms LC80 or this furitek mate?🙏❤️
@grizzlyworksrc7 ай бұрын
I think it depend on what you want out of it. If you're looking for a really good looking relatively true to scale trail truck the LC80 wins. If you aren't concerned with the true to scale side of things and want a really good rock crawler the FX-118 would be better. You could also take a look at the new Hobby Plus Evo Pro. I haven't bought one yet, but it looks to be a brushed 2 speed version of the FX-118.

Which is better furitek f118 fury or FMS fcx18 L80 my friend? Tia❤️👌🙏
@grizzlyworksrc8 ай бұрын
I think that will really depend on what you want to do with the truck. The FMS is not as much of a performance based truck. It can do some crawling, but out of the box it is more of a scale trail truck. The Furitek is a performance based truck that is built to be a crawler. With a few free mods it's actually a really good one. My concern with both would be reliability with heavy use. When you look at it from that point of view, upgrade parts are easier to find and cheaper with the FMS. I know that doesn't give you a perfect answer of which is better, but it really depends on what you want to do with it and what level of performance you're looking for.

How about a rear limiting strap. Helps when going down hill.
@grizzlyworksrc8 ай бұрын
I actually tested this and it seemed to limit the trucks in other areas. Mainly it would cause the trucks to get high centered a lot. It was actually a pretty big issue when getting to the top of a climb. I found that a decent set of oil filled shocks helped a lot with descending.

I had a V2 that was out for maybe 6 months. However, the company that made one of the resins for the mixture I came up with for it changed thier formula and I started having a ton of print and strength issues. Thats actually what started me down the road of testing different material and manufacturing options.

You really don't want to use any loctite near plastic. For certain plastics, it can cause complete decomposition of nearby plastic. Think of the way fungus rots trees, that happens in a few days. There are other materials that work well in situations like this. I like acrylic paint.
@grizzlyworksrc8 ай бұрын
I like the idea of using acrylic paint! I personally haven't had an issue using thread locker with these, but I can see many reasons why using paint would actually be better.

@grizzlyworksrc9 ай бұрын
I appreciate that! I like to look at the trucks knowing that I will be modding them. It tends to make you notice things. In the instance of the inner fenders my thought was what front bumpers can I put on it cause I don't like what it came with. When I looked at it I saw the front bumper and front of the fender use the same mounting hole. I do think it's funny that I ran through the truck for about 45 minutes during the unboxing and still didn't notice them until I looked at changing the front bumper...
