In this episode of Repair and Replace, Vance shows how to clean and maintain a gas furnace.
Your furnace should be cleaned and inspected each year before its first turned on. This helps ensure that the furnace is running smoothly and gives a chance to identify any problems before heating is needed.

*Note* Be careful when pushing in the wire connectors into the circuit board. 4:26 Too much pressure can cause the board to flex and might crack the board. Its best to place your fingers behind when pushing in the connectors.

Any maintenance that doesn't include cleaning the flame sensor is not a good maintenance.

Excellent video! #Question: My furnace is on and heats, however, the Blower Motor isn moving. -the Blower Motor isn't making a sound. -I turn the Blower, it moves freely and quietly. -I put the fan on On, nothing. What else can I look for? ULTRA V Tech 80 is my brand.

When I open the front cover for vacuuming inside the firnace, there was something like filter attached to that front cover. That filter kind of thing was very dirty and broke. What do we call that one? It is round fiber something. Where to find it. Can we turn on furnace without that? Just closing the front cover?
@AmreSupply
@AmreSupply Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. Are you referring to a gasket that goes around the entire edge of the front cover? Or is the filter wider than an inch?
@shakirahmedtth
@shakirahmedtth Жыл бұрын
@@AmreSupply it is more of a heat shield to that front cover. Visited local hoe depot. They don’t have anything. I took out a piece of ceiling and wall fibreglass insulation (like wool) and cut it to match that cover and using that now. I put aluminum duct tape to hold the insulation to that cover. This part directly come into touch with burner fire. I am afraid for carbon leak or fire.

@@NFLYoungBoy223 If you have no indicator light, and the furnace isn't running at all then there's likely no power reaching the control board. Double check these things in this video first before anything else kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eM9nadRhueDTh2w.html

You should replace your filter monthly not every 6months....
@AmreSupply
@AmreSupply Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. 6 months is the absolute maximum but it depends on the filter and how often it is used. You are right that in some cases a replacement is needed every month.
