FURNITURE RESTORATION- scraping, sanding, staining a walnut veneer coffee table

Quick and easy furniture redo of a mid century coffee table, made of solid wood, wood veneer, and composite (like a pressed wood). This was just a matter of removing the old finish, sanding everything down, filling some damaged areas, and then staining and resealing.
This project was actually done about a month and a half ago, and even though it's a quickie, I still wanted to share with you!

This channel should come with a warning disclaimer of " You may get addicted to videos, you may frequent hardware, thrift stores and garage sales much more frequently, you may want to not give a crap about your manicures anymore" But it is all worth it. I love all the restorations you do!

My Grandad loved MCM furniture. He bought a solid walnut coffee table and two side tables. I will be getting my hands on them this summer and I am so excited to restore them to their original beauty!

Omg, we had a table almost the same bought in 1967! Long gone, three young kids, and dogs, but it was pretty nice and sturdy considering the wear and tear it endured. 😊

Years ago (1970's) I actually had that style coffee table which was solid mahogany. I give to a friend in the mid 80's. I should have kept it.It was my parents and in perfect condition when I gave it away. Hind sight is always 20-20.

We had a coffee table back in the '70s that had seen better days and I restored it when I was about 9, my grandfather was a carpenter, and my dad would fix things around the house. My father thought my mother had brought a new one, and she told him I did it. My father took me out of home economics and put me in shop class. I was top in my class, and my shop teacher said ' I was his best student. Well, long story short. I still fix things around the home, and I became a nurse both parents won. I just found your videos, and I am a big fan. Keep doing what you are doing. Great work. This video just reminded me of my first restoration. Thanks.

I am so delighted I have found your YT channel and website 🙂 Your restored furniture pieces are beautiful and I love the stains and colours you use. I love seeing and listening to stories of people who have turned a "job" as such into a passion and "employment all in one" - what could be better than being happier in ones career/employment and something for which so many people strive for ? Also you are teaching and educating so many others 🙂 It is a shame I am in the UK but I am going to show my hubby your pieces to give him some creative ideas - he can do the work but neither of us have one creative bone in our body LOL. Love from Mel, UK xx
