People would rather wait for streaming? Nobody goes to the theater anymore? In what universe?

Tubi is the best streaming service. Furiosa is a good movie that deserves more love.

You are absolutely right Omni Viewer, even if streaming services are fairly decent competition for movie theatres, they won't be replacing them anytime soon. I found your examples of other instances in the past where other forms of media were also promoted as a replacement for the movie theatre but ultimately failed at performing the implied, aforementioned task, to be refreshingly informative and insightful. It assures us that just as the movie theatre survived those proposed replacements by being supported by the public and adapting to changing times, it will survive today and onwards using the same public supprt and aforementioned adaptation. Thank you for this compelling and thought-provoking video!!!!!!!!

Oh, I know what you mean, Omni. The only brick-and-mortar book stores that are left are Barnes & Noble and (maybe) Books A Million. Everyone else is gone.

I'm honestly not interested in seeing Inside Out 2 (especially after the infamous article response Pete Doctor put out recently), but I am happy to hear people are loving it and that this proves theaters are still thriving.

How would Godzilla be like in other universe, like Hilda, Ninjago and Tremors?, I got the idea from the Gojicenter video covering Godzilla in Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones and Star Wars.

Sadly, not buying the snacks is what Really Kills the Theater, because that is where the theater makes the most money. The Studios take the largest cut of the actual ticket price. And as a Fellow "Single/No Kids" person. I agree with Omni. I can vividly recall My Dad telling me We ain't Getting No Snacks! Money is a precious commodity. Which is why I only got to the few movies I want to see. If I can.

(1:48) Im sure that movie is going to do well, even if it dose gets bad reviews im pretty certain that people are going to go see it regardless (its one of if not the most anticipated movie of the year to most people). 🍿📽🤔⚔🔫 (8:09) Thats another thing, people tend to neglect physical media lately. Granted I know why obviously a part of that is the convince of streaming services but on the other hand you wont have to worry about studios changing or taking down the movies (or shows) completely and never be able to watch it again. Im really glad that "Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire" is doing very well with DVD and Blu Rey sales. Physical media for the win baby! 📼✊😁✊💿

02:40 While a subscription fee for [streaming services] SEEMS to be the "most efficient" method to achieve overall "satisfactory entertainment", it is NOT the "more effective" way to get "high quality fun". . The experience a theater gives is (potentially) superior to anything you could possibly get in your home [even if you are a millionaire], because of the PEOPLE who shares it with you (specially when they are complete anonymous "stranger figures in the dark"). . Regardless if you bring friends for company (sitting next to you); it is the "collective unconscious" of the rest of the room what makes the difference [because you are not subconsciously "filtering" your emotions for their sake], as you "share your feeling" alongside their reactions to the same "events" of the ~story~ unfolding. -> This is intrinsically not that different from hearing a Shaman´s retelling of the Myths & Legends of your tribe, sitting next to a big campfire in the night, watching the bright flames while everyone´s imagination runs wild. It is ingrained in our recent evolution as superior sapient beings.

you could say that about literally every company on earth, you could also say your paying taxes to an evil country(every country on earth has corruption don’t act like yours is the exeption), you could say buying a car or whatever vehicle you want hurts the envierment, you could say buying medicine is bad as well since pharma companies are evil, heck you could say buying food is wrong as well by that logic since cattle produces global warming and farmers have to work in bad conditions, the only way you could actually avoid being part of the problem as you say would be would be to live in a literal cave outside civilization with no human contact
