I have two sweaters with the berroco vintage! I think it's a great yarn. The wool content is real cozy, and the acrylic makes it soooo easy to care for. Nice drape. Feels nice when knitting. Oodles of colours!

I saw the photos of New York. I live in Alberta, in Canada. The air quality up here is no joke. I feel so bad for people that have breathing issues and also for the people being evacuated from their homes. Love your wrap cardigan! Looks comfy

I am knitting the Olive top by Sari Nordlund. It's my first time knitting smth w straps and I really like the construction. No kitchenering - knit the front straps, then you pick up the st on the end of strap and knit the other two. I can't even see the join😅

@@futurefiber just don't fall in front of your boss while you're out to lunch. That's what I did my second week at my current job. And when I say fall, I mean "I have fallen and I can't get up" kind of fall where I tore a ligament in my knee. Very embarrassing 🤦🏻‍♀️😅

Stephen West just published a short reel on how to get more elasticity in the I cord edge. It might be useful for the armhole of your tank top. I really like that garment.

Congratulations on the new job, fingers crossed for nice colleagues! The Stella top looks really cute, but it does sound frustrating. I hate having to knit four parts of the straps 😂

I feel your sock struggle. I have the same issues. Slender foot, skinny ankles. I find 56 sts on 2.25mm or even 2mm. Ribbed socks work well too. I use 60 sts if there's a cable but definitely only 56 if there's lace. You could decrease sts for the ankle and increase as you knit farther up the calf part...I've knit dozens of socks and still try new things lol

I love ribbed socks for better fit, tbh! A few stitches more or less, it doesn’t matter that much because the ribbing cling to your foot, no loose parts and still pretty elastic and comfortable.

depending on the seam you used (stella top), you could give it a bit more structural integrity. as you said, summery yarns tend to grow. making sure areas like shoulders, neckline, and armholes are reinforced by some stitches could be useful. on the other hand, i'm not sure about sensory issues for some people. something like three needle bind off might be too much for some people who would feel comfortable only with kitchener stitch. but i'm most probably overthinking it as it has no sleeves. 😄

btw, my go to tutorial on kitchener stitch in rib is by nimble needles. just in case you need a visual reference for the future. 😊 the rule is to change the knit-on-purl-off / purl-on-kit-of bases on the way the stitches show. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o9GJocV1qKrOpX0.html

I just kinda jumped into it with a vanilla sock pattern! The crazy sock lady playlists are super helpful for techniques and you just gotta be ok with the fact that you might have some weird sock snakes before you get a wearable one 😂
