Wow! I knew that the work you do in your shop was involved, but I had no idea that the costs would be that high. Not that I have a car that I want to restore at the moment, but I would have prob been one of those who was WAY OFF in budgeting, so this is good info. Love seeing the cars that you restore too.

Based on the many requests you turn down, I would expect there were be "common" items that you could easily bulletpoint in your emails when responding to customers. Unrealistic budget, Insufficient timelines, scheduling issues, parts availability..etc. As a potential customer who has never asked for a resto before my expectation may be well off the mark and would be open to any feedback resetting my expectations. Appreciate and love the effort you and team put in.

Loved this one and keep it up and for an old guy that everyone tells me I should have hearing aids your audio was spot on for me. The average person has no idea the amount of time it takes a shop/technician to do things properly and the associated parts cost. A friend recently rebuilt a Chevy small block 400 for my 72 C10. We used the block and crank and all other parts were bought new. Just a driver motor with a .030 bore and a flat tappet cam and using the original Q-Jet carb and factory rams head manifolds as well and with machining and parts I'm at about 6000.00 for the engine and no labor charge involved.

I am surprised, Dan didn't stop on the 67 gt 500 when guy said engine swap and say do not even try to put in a Coyote because you will ruin the value if its a real Shelby. Not go into what it would take to put a Coyote in.

Funny he says you have to find junkyard parts for fox body mustangs, very wrong. There are quite a few sources that have all the body parts brand new reproduction. I saw full floors for under 500, fenders for 250 each and rear quarters for 450 each online, plus all moldings, pretty much anything you need for fox body's.

The sound is sooo much better. It sounds richer. The other one sounded like a bad radio station. Do people still listen to the radio? Audrey sounds much better. I'm flipping back to original video to compare.

Moral of the story The average working man will never ever be able to afford Dan snd his shop . You need a minimum of 6 figures to even get his attention and in the door . Sad cause Dan speaks to the average working class yet they can’t afford his services . Look locally people . Plenty of great shops out there that do outstanding work and work within their customers budgets.
